The weather was really delightful this past weekend. Normally, after Jasper eats his dinner we take a walk around the neighborhood. But Sunday Jasper had play on his mind. We started on a walk, but he did his "business" right away and then started pulling us back home. Once back home, he grabbed Betty Bunny and stood at the back patio door. Oh, we had such fun with Betty and frisbees and running and flying and jumping and tugging and challenging. [pant, pant, pant...] I'm getting tired out just typing about it 😀
It was almost impossible to choose my favourite photos of Daisy for this year. This is one of my most recent, chosen because I was so happy that she wanted to play again that morning - part of our daily routine that I missed so much while she was ill.

I was fascinated with how the late afternoon sun light was catching the water drops as the New Holland honeyeaters got pretty wild in the bird bath. The camera's auto-focus locked on the water droplets rather than the birds, but I liked the light and movement anyway.
Like the light over this park scene with the folks there playing ball and Frisbee.

While the rest of the Sababurg pack was happy to spend the afternoon having forty winks after forty winks after forty winks, these two guys here had apparently decided to hone their hunting skills by throwing around a sheep leg and chasing after it with inexhaustible energy.
While taking some shots of people snorkeling in the ocean, this little family climbed up on the rocks near me for a little playtime. I got to watch them up close and personal. I felt like part of the family! Just call me ‘Auntie Nita’! Image taken from my iPhone.

Old tunnel with new cat. The tunnel is a kitten-sized one, bought for Daisy years ago. Bella came to live with me in November, & this tunnel was one of the first places she played. After months of cage rest (recovering from injuries), she feels safer in small spaces.

I stumbled upon Kim Leuenberger's Instagram images (www.instagram.com/travellingcars/) today and found some inspiration for today's pic. I am starting to feel better and decided to walk down my block with my toy van this morning. Most of our snow has melted away but I found a small pile to set my van in for effect. I decided to work in Photoshop with cloning and adding texture. There is always more to learn but I am trying, baby stepping along the way.
