Having fun in a fastastic 'installation' of flexible light string things in Explore science centre in Bristol, UK
this is how it went.
ISO 200 camera normal. F stop 22. times for many of the shots went like this 2s, 4s, 6s, 8s. a pin light led. large flash light and a smallish flash light. 20- 30 images in camera. then I picked 8 to work on in photo shop. 4 hours of photo shop time. photo looks nice but some thing is missing. but I don't know what? after looking at this image I feel I did not do much for all the time I put in to it. it has not much feeling to me but why? all the people in my house think this is the best shell photo they have seen. I think it is just a mess. but I showed up to make a image. now I will work on more images. I think I need more life in the back ground. but not over powering the shot. I think a shell is not as fun as I would like it to be. I may have went to small. there is no story to why I should look at this normal shell. its just a dead shell. but I did have a grate time playing with this. and it is the best shell photo I have ever made.
Black and white version of one of a series of experimental pics taken by casting a shadow of a wine glass half full of maderia wine onto a sheet of white paper like this.
Sylvia, taken at Saturday's Meetup at Seattle Photography Associates (SPA) up in Mukilteo (sponsored by the South Sound Photography Meetup group). It was a fabulous opportunity to learn about and practice with real studio lights (Alien Bees).
This is taken with just one Alien Bee light, camera right.
Apparently all the SPA models want to model in this dress.

Statue of Crown Princess Märtha close to Slottet in Oslo.
Shot in the middle of the day, about 14.00,2 o´clock.Made a dark, night version and used Photoshop 6 elements to create the evening atmosphere.
on the 4th i used a long exposure and had my cousin(mary) write her name with a sparkler.
i thought it turned out well, especially because i didn't have my tripod with me
For some reason I was feeling ambitious today. I decided to do something with lighting. I set up both studio strobes to do this. one directly behind me shining into my 7ft umbrella, the light blew out all of the ribs of the umbrella to make a solid white background. Up front I had a light through a soft box pretty close to me and I hand held my camera. I used a fisheye lens, a bad choice and why this shot looks weird, but the lighting was sound and I guess I got what I was looking to do.
