I cleaned out my closet today, too much stuff in there....but look what I found! I used to wear these dancing all the time! I was such a diva back in the day ;)

At Sheringham, passengers take their moment to admire BR Standard 4MT 2-6-0 No.76084 before boarding for the 19:30 'Norfolk Lights Express' begins. This allowed a good opportunity to capture the glow from the Mogul's firebox before its fairy lights were switched on. Taken on 17th November 2021.

The view to what will / might one day be platform 3 at Honeybourne, for the line nearest the steps which ends at the signal is reserved by Network Rail for the potential extension of the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway. The fourth track is a siding but also used for trains to get to the Long Marston depot, and connects with the main line in the far distance.

Whilst visiting my sister in January 2016 I enjoyed a first ever look around Loughborough's Great Central Railway station, the administrative base of the heritage line linking Loughborough with Rothley and Leicester North. As you can imagine there was plenty of old-fashioned atmosphere to be captured on camera, this platform clock being just one example.

Arrival at London Marylebone Station for yet another weekend in the capital.

From Marylebone Underground Station we caught the tube to Oxford Circus, where we changed onto the Victoria line to go to Victoria Station.

I went to the Bluebell Railway yesterday. I didn't ride on the train but stayed on the platform at Horsted Keynes. A platform ticket cost £2.50. As a boy I used to collect engine numbers, I would go on a station and look at the trains – a platform ticket looked very much like this but they cost a penny.

Coburn six goat headgate mounted on a custom made platform 36" off the ground. Just getting the goats trained to it now. Head lock is cascading so the first goat has to go to the end stanchion before the next one will unlock. I'm surprised how fast they are taking to it. It's all about food. Another nice thing about this is they don't seem to throw their food around like they used to with the poly feeder bowls. Nothing wasted anymore. I'll be machine milking from behind with udders right at a convenient height. Should be much easier.

Here is the platform for the launching ceremony and invited guests. My mother is at front center, with the light green collar. My brother David is just to her left. I cannot see my father in this photo. Ragnar Erickson, my father's father's friend since childhood, is third from left. I was on the platform when the actual launching took place.

The champagne bottle is on the end of the long pole. My mother pulled the rope on one end, and the other end hit the ship. No danger. The Bremer Vulkan shipyard flag is at right, and the Mobil flag (less recognizable) at left.

I took this for the colours. Only when I was working on it in LR did I notice: That is a tree growing on the platform of a large station.

How pleasant that when someone looked at the cost benefit analysis (shade & beauty vs mess) they decided to go with the tree.

The Amtrak platform at St. Paul Union Depot is not yet in use as of Summer 2013, the station tracks still need to be connected to the mainline. The connection is anticipated to be completed in late 2013.

I would love to be wearing these platform sandals with a summer dress at work. I know it is fashionable to wear sandals with bare legs but I am more confortable with hose on. These are knee-highs but I would wear thigh-highs or pantyhose with a dress. The platforms are 1 inch in the front and 2 and 1/2 in at the back.
