Taken in the Hidden London tour of Charing Cross's Jubilee platforms.
The Charing Cross Jubilee platforms opened in 1979, originally as a terminus to the line running from Stanmore. Before the platforms opened, a plan was developed to extend the Jubilee line onwards to Stratford; the route meant the line would pass onwards through Westminster instead, leading to the closure of the Charing Cross platforms.
The tour ran through the Jubilee platforms, the ventilation shaft, through to a spoil tunnel that extended out under Trafalgar Square to beyond the fourth plinth (this tunnel led to a shaft where the spoil from digging the station and tunnels was removed).
A view of Southeastern's class 465 Networker EMU 465 196 seen in platform 1 on the 'Dover' side platforms at London Victoria at the head of the 15:28 eight-car Southeastern suburban service out to Orpington via the likes of Brixton, Herne Hill, West Dulwich, Sydenham Hill, Penge East, Kent House, Beckenham Junction, Shortlands, Bromley South, Bickley and Petts Wood on the afternoon of Wednesday 5th January 2022. Up until the arrival of the then new class 465 Networker EMUs in the early 1990s this suburban service was normally in the hands of the veteran fleet of BR class 415 (4 EPB) slam-door suburban EMUs dating from the 1950s and early 1960s. One of the few modifications the class 465 EMUs have had since being built in the early 1990s are the slanted fairings above the buffers and coupler in order to prevent teenage 'train surfers' from standing on the buffers to perform this illegal and extremely dangerous activity.

I found an easy way to create my own patterned platform sandals...if you'd like, you can read about it here:
When I saw this opportunity, I thought to myself is this really 2013? The crew of the Stanier '8F' are anxious to move the loco on from Carlisle Citadel station to Upperby for servicing, watched by a gent dressed in a flat cap and tweed jacket (and also wearing braces but not in view unfortunately!). This cameo substituted for my lack of a time machine.

At this time EMD built "one size fits all" frames for their SD38/40/45 series resulting in a bit of an overhang on some models. Famed Trains magazine editor David P. Morgan described them as being like kids wearing too big tennis shoes.

507023 stands in Platform 1 at James Street as it works a Liverpool Central to Birkenhead Central short working on January 18th 2015. This was due to overnight Wintry weather causing disruption at Rock Ferry. This view is from the normally mothballed Platform 2, in use on this day awaiting the arrival of the Branch Line Society Railtour -'750v Tracker' from Hooton. From this angle the cavernous tunnel roof of James Street is evident. This platform was once used by eastbound services coming off the Wirral en-route to the underground terminus at Liverpool Central Low-Level in the days before the Loop Line was constructed.
Nice Platform-Boots are this .. The funny thing was that the other girl she was walking with was also wearinf plateus ... But there was a jeans over it .... Also didnt look like boots.

HP is running “Mobile Expressionism”, an integrated advertising campaign aimed at app developers, online at palm.com. Devised for the HP webOS mobile platform, the campaign looks beyond the technical challenges of creating apps, and re-brands the process as ‘Mobile Expressionism’ –- the latest in a long line of art movements such as Cubism, Impressionism and Pop Art –- positioning developers as modern day artists, able to demonstrate their contributions to popular culture using mobile content. To celebrate the link between technology and creativity, Seattle/London agency Creature commissioned several leading illustrators and artists to create nine bespoke pieces of original artwork inspired by popular mobile apps. The resulting silkscreen prints are visual representations of HP webOS apps created for The New York Times, Angry Birds, Evernote, Pandora, Absolute Fitness, Flight Track, How To Train Your Dragon, Taxi Magic and Flickr.
The campaign’s key online assets are a series of 90-second films featuring developers from Facebook, Sony Pictures and DreamWorks SKG. Titled ‘Meet the Mobile Expressionists’, each film illustrates how these high-profile developers use webOS to realize their work across photography, film and games, as tangible mobile content. The films will feature as rich media content on well-known technology websites, including Wired.com and Engadget. The films will also run at events and feature at developer.palm.com.
The campaign will roll out globally over coming months, while the silkscreen artwork will be exhibited at a number of international developer events. Creature also produced a print catalogue showcasing the thousands of apps currently available on webOS to drive further awareness. Additional online assets include banner ads and rich media material.

The Expressionism campaign was developed at Creature, Seattle and London, by chief creative officer Matt Peterson, Jim Haven, executive creative director Pat Horn, art director Adam Deer, copywriter Alberto Garcia Orte, designers Ray Dotterer and Haley Munro, producers Andrew Lovold, Bethany Papenbrock, Kristin Holder, account executive Ryan Cunningham.
Creature has worked with the brand for the last year but has been working with the Palm brand since 2008, which was acquired by HP in 2010. Jim Haven, founder and chief creative officer at Creature, said: “I’m a huge fan of letting technology influence traditional art forms and vice-versa. This really showcases a contemporary vantage on creativity with apps as an art form influencing what we would conventionally view as art.”
Illustrators were Dan Stiles (Flight Track), Patrick Concepción for Concepción Studios (Pandora), Timothy Doyle (Taxi Magic), Adam Pobiak (Angry Birds), Ben Chapek for Never Sleeping (The New York Times), Jon Vogl for Bungaloo (Evernote), Amy Martin (How to Train Your Dragon), Nick Rhodes for SwitchOpen (Flickr Mundo), Coby Schultz and Barry Ament for Ames Brothers (Absolute Fitness).
Filming was shot by director Rob Devor via Kaos with directors of photography Stacy Toyama and Norman Bonney, line producer Melanie Baines and editor Olin Padilla. Music was produced by Matt Hutchinson, Black Iris and Headquarters Music.

Holly stands 211 feet tall and sits about two miles off shore over the South Ellwood Oil Field, pumping oil from 32 wells. Holly was built in 1966 by ARCO, sold to Mobil in 1993, and subsequently to Venoco in 1997. Holly has been inactive since the Refugio Oil Spill in May 2015 (ruptured oil pipeline). In April 2017, Venoco filed for bankruptcy and decommissioned the platform, which is now owned by the State of California. Whether or not the platform gets completely dismantled isn't clear at this point; but the days of oil production in state waters off the coast of Goleta appear to be over (even though California and the Federal Government are at odds regarding oil production in state waters off the California Coast (there's 15 active platforms in federal waters off the Santa Barbara County's coast: www.sbcountyplanning.org/energy/maps/map_with_projects.asp)).
