I have lived in many different environments. What I experienced the most from adapting in various cultures is distinctive beauty perception in each region I have been to.
In order to be socially accepted as “attractive” or “beautiful” as a woman, I required myself to change as I was unconsciously influenced by the society.
Beauty perception has influenced a lot of women across the world to reshape their body to fit in the cultural standard.
In the photos, I showed how my appearance has been changing. If I keep allowing the social views to justify my identity, my appearance will never cease to change. That is why I depicted the inner beauty without makeup and long hair decoration in the end.
