Don't lie, you have something you hate about yourself. Everyone does. Imperfection is beauty though. There's tons of things I would change about myself, but I just have to live with it. The media definitely gives young girls false images of what is beautiful. We look up to the gorgeous celebrities and want to look like them. It's either you're too fat, too short, no boobs, big nose, small lips, etc. I think it's ridiculous when people manipulate their bodies to portray a false image of "perfect." It's tough sometimes to be happy with the way you look, but seriously, why change yourself to make other people happy? If people judge you based on your physical appearance, they're not worth your time anyways.

This picture is a variation on the “Vanitas” theme, a genre of still-life painting flourished in the 16th and 17th centuries.
“Vanitas” painting evoked the transience and vanity of earthly achievements and the inevitability of death through objects symbolizing wealth, pleasures, arts or science (gold, jewelry, playing cards, books, goblets..), and death or transience (skulls, clocks, flowers, burnt out candles..).
Today’s Vanitas has to be different: the world has changed, we don't even enjoy those earthly pleasures as we're too busy photographing them to share on social media.

In this room in 1916, Gertrude Bulmer Bishop - recently widowed mother of then five-year-old Elizabeth Bishop, later poet laureate - lost her grip on sanity. Gertrude would commit herself voluntarily to the Nova Scotia Hospital which later declared her permanently insane. Elizabeth Bishop never saw her mother again, but the tragedy figures prominently in her later writings, particularly "In the Village" in which she describes her mother's scream as remaining recorded in Great Village itself, to be released by tapping the lightening rod atop the steeple of St. James. It was here in Elizabeth Bishop's childhood home, nearly 100 years later, that we spent a week as artists in residence - just weeks after K's diagnosis and just prior to surgery. It was a welcome relief from the anxiety at home, but Gertrude's story held a particular resonance during our stay.

of a friend, she had 14 years old, and I cannot believe in the
changes I obtained to do! I changed all her face's shape. Now,
its pratically another person! And only because of this I am
posting the photo here and I will not show the original one,
or she would kill me...! Unfortunatelly, I don't know how to give
her a new hair cut... :¬P

The Haunted Mansion
I've always thought, in the interest of park synergy and what not, Captain EO would make a nice addition to the Haunted Mansion. While the music might not fit perfectly, I think we could get some sweet AAs to plus the HM. However, there is the concern that the additions would make the attraction too scary for children!
This is another attraction I can't wait to shoot with the D90. Hopefully I can get a decent shot of the caretaker and his dog!
