Another wide angle phone picture, one of a few images I took on a recent visit to this incredible building. The chapter house, originally a reading room now houses page from the Magna Carta so I guess the room still serves that same purpose.

Spent the past week at a friend's cabin in Cook Forest, Pennsylvania. Way up in the northwest corner. No cell service which is what I sorely needed; an unplugged vacation. No tv, no phone, no internet. And it was blissful. I hiked more this past week than I have for the past year except on my home trail at my house.
Pigeon Falls is actually in Allegheny National Forest but it was close by. The directions to get there were sketchy, but we found it and we found 3 other ppl looking for them as well. A short mile hike later and we were there. The hike was certainly beautiful as well which was good because the trail was flat as it was an equestrian trail at one time, but I don't think any horses have been on it in a good while. The creek crossing was a bit harrowing, but good boots and balance saved the day.
Our Rhododendron suffered quite a bit of damage this winter from the ice and heavy snow. We lost 2 branches and now the poor thing looks bare. Next month I will gather some cuttings from it and try propagating them. My black thumb is slowly turning green.
