Ein wunderschöner seltener Aurora SAR (Stabile Auroral Red) Bogen zeigte sich am 19. Januar über meinem Heimatdorf. SAR Polarlicht emittiert rotes Licht in einer Wellenlänge von 630 nm und entsteht in der Ionosphäre in ca. 400 km Höhe. Für die Entstehung sind Elektronen verantwortlich.
A beautiful rare Aurora SAR (Stable Auroral Red) arc appeared above my home village on January 19. SAR auroras emit red light at a wavelength of 630 nm and are created in the ionosphere at an altitude of approximately 400 km. Electrons are responsible for their formation.

But sometimes what looks like disaster
is disaster: the day comes at last,
and the men struggle with the casket
just clearing the pews.
Not sure which of these pix I like best. I like the one that shows the whole scene, but you can't see his cute face. I love the closeup of his face. The other problem is I forgot to put my polarizing filter back on after the failed milky way shoot, so the whole scene is hazy. help me out, guys. Any and all suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
We don't get to see sunsets too often because of all the trees, so when we are graced with one, it's a sight to behold.
I encountered this little guy a few times while weeding my apple mint bed. He didn't seem to mind me so I was very careful not to intrude on him.

Geschütztes Naturdenkmal ist die Heckenlandschaft zwischen Gaißach und Lenggries, lange, durchgehende Hecken aus hohen Sträuchern und Bäumen, die einst zur Abgrenzung der Weidegebiete errichtet wurden. Die Heckenlandschaft reicht südlich bis Lenggries und im Osten an die Berggrundstücke (sog. Traten = Bergweiden).
Schön zu überblicken ist dieses Naturdenkmal, wie hier im Bild, von der Sonntraten aus (1.100m)
