The monumental shrine of Our Lady of Ta' Pinu was built between 1920 and 1931. It is also an architectural masterpiece, especially its interior, with its superb sculptures and craftsmanship of designs on Maltese stone. The sanctuary was constructed adjacent to a still existent chapel where the young Karmni Grima is said to have received a message for prayer from Our Lady back in 1883.

He comprobado la presencia de las 3 especies (sylvestris, nigra y pinaster) en esta zona. Predomina el sylvestris, pero no son raros los ejemplares (agrupados o sueltos) de las otras especies.

Bought many 2 ft seedings from Coldwater Farms. Have 6 or so along the driveway. White pines grow well in Michigan. The eastern white pine could be the tallest tree in eastern North America (230 ft). Mine are 20 ft. or so after 15 years. There are many interesting white pine cultivars.
