Today's airbrushed style pinup photo features Kayla in this Cowgirl theme, and for some of you with a keen eye you might recognize this pinup from before. For an upcoming project, I'm going to be revisiting old pinups that were done before the 'airbrushed art' technique that I now apply to all pinups. Taking a moment out of her day on the ranch, Kayla tips her hat in hello to the neighboring ranch with the boy she's had her eye on for some time! She has to be careful, however, because she'll end up being a huge distraction for the entire town!

No pinup yesterday, but here's today's airbrushed style pinup photo featuring Crystal in this close encounter with a Mustang pinup! Living under the flight path of the American fighter pilots can have benefits and disadvantages. Being able to wave at the pilots as they depart for their next mission, some who may never return, or being one of the familiar friendly sights they see on their way back is certainly a benefit. In this case, however, as Crystal is putting up her laundry some hotshot pilot decided to try and get an up close look at Crystal by buzzing the field and in turn has put her in a 'windy' situation!

Today's airbrushed style pinup photo features Ashley in a 1940s style Coca Cola advertisement! Refreshing herself at the beach with a 6-pack carrier of Coca Cola, Ashley is ready to tackle a nice easy day at the beach! From the 1930s into the 1940s, Coca Cola pushed the 'Coca Cola Girl' into their advertising quite heavily. Often doing some everyday task from working in a factory, serving in the military, or even playing at the beach with the gals always taking a break from their current task to have a Coke (in order to 'Refresh' themselves before continuing on with that task). This retro advertisement is part of the ongoing Coca Cola original ad recreations. The colors, fonts, language, and graphics of these have been meticulously researched and recreated to match the original style of the advertisements.

In honor of Veteran's Day today, here's a throwback pinup with four Dietz Dolls pinups representing the four main branches of the US Military during World War 2: Stilletta is wearing a US Army infantry inspired uniform, Anna is wearing a more formal inspired US Marine Corps uniform, Brittnee is in a US Army Air Force inspired uniform, and finally Kayla is wearing a US Navy inspired uniform. This tribute goes out to ALL veterans past and present with a very big THANK YOU for your service. We will always be eternally grateful for your sacrifice and service. This series looks at the moodier side of pinups, with a dark background and dark clothing making the model stand out. This was a common practice for pinups in the 1950s and into the 1960s from some artists. Look for more of this series over the next few weeks with different gals!

As Ruivas são a forma de vida com mais fogo da face da terra. Estão sempre incandescentes, mas NÃO AS IRRITE, ou você se queima e se fode! Um ruivo notavelmente famoso é Chuck Norris. Todas as ruivas existentes descendem dele. TODAS. Entendeu porque as ruivas são poderosas?
A beleza de uma ruiva vermelho sangue pode atrair muitas pessoas, mas sempre haverá um homem burro que vai zoá-la, chamando-a de Curupira, cabeça de beterraba, pica-pau, catchup ambulante, fogueira de pernas e outros apelidos chateadores. Será a última coisa que esse homem dirá: as ruivas não perdoam fácil nem esquecem as coisas. Filhas de Chuck Norris não engolem sapo.
Atualmente, as ruivas são encontradas apenas na Irlanda e no interior de conchas gigantes do Mar Cáspio.

Today's airbrushed style pinup photo features Charlotte in a homage to the Tuskegee Airmen of WW2. The famed Tuskegee Airmen experiment had quite the struggle in the beginning. Founded in 1941 with the 99th Pursuit Squadron based at Tuskegee University, Alabama, the all African-American group contained only 47 officers and 429 enlisted men. After passing primary training, the men were moved to the Tuskegee Army Air field where they learned all three different types of training (basic to advanced to transition). The program grew, even with heavy opposition from Washington DC, and by mid 1941 the number was in the thousands. It took until 1943 until the 99th was considered 'ready for combat duty' and shipped to North Africa where they joined the 33rd Fighter Group with P-40 Warhawks. When the group was moved to Sicily, Italy, they became the 332nd Fighter group with P-47 Thunderbolts. It was an uphill climb for them, in a world still heavily segregated, but they made a big name for themselves by escorting the bombers from the 15th Air Force earning an impressive record. With such a great service record, they were finally able to acquire new P-51 Mustangs. It was around this time they they became known as the 'Red Tails' because of the red markings applied to the tail of the aircraft. Nearly 1,000 pilots were trained through the program, of which 355 went overseas and 84 were lost. they went on 1,578 combat missions with 179 bomber escort missions and 112 enemy aircraft destroyed. A huge salute to the incredible Tuskegee Airmen!

Today's airbrushed style pinup photo features Rachel in this Thanksgiving Pinup! Some Thanksgiving trivia: It actually lasted three days and some evidence seems to show that likely there were actually no women at the event. And the traditional turkey? History seems to point to the fact that it was more like deer and fowl like geese and ducks at the table so there probably wasn't any turkey. It took nearly 300 years later for the turkey to end up becoming that holiday symbol partly due to literature at the time that portrayed turkey dinners in the way we all envision on the Thanksgiving table. These writings took hold and around then it's believed the Turkey was adopted as the Thanksgiving bird of choice.

Light falling on the pinup girl for many of the pinups would come from offscreen somewhere, highlighting parts of the girl. This is a look back at these classic 1950s style of pinup artwork.
