This is a luxury apartment building in West Vancouver, know as the Pink Palace, although its real name is The Villa Maris. It is considered the second most important architectural landmark in West Vancouver after the Lions Gate Bridge.
There is a three bedroom available for $4,200 a month - any takers?
Sadly, this building is going to be demolished by 2026 for, of course, more condos.

On a Fathers Day I had a visitor in the garden,
Please view this Moth in large
I will comment after work,
Before you know it, spring will be here. This whole week the daytime temperature will arise to mid-40F, so, the snow shall melt, huh? Gosh! no more snow, please.

Pink is the color of a namesake flower that is a pale tint of red. It was first used as a color name in the late 17th century. According to surveys in Europe and the United States, pink is the color most often associated with charm, politeness, sensitivity, tenderness, sweetness, childhood, femininity, and romance. A combination of pink and white is associated with chastity and innocence, whereas a combination of pink and black links to eroticism and seduction. In the 21st century, pink is seen as a symbol of femininity, though this hasn't always been true: in the 1920s, pink was seen as a color that reflected masculinity.

Calliandra is a flower native to deserts and grasslands in Mexico, California, Arizona and Central and South America tropical regions. Tropical/sub-tropical, it does very well here in SE Queensland too. Calliandra means 'beautiful stamens' and apparently the plant is also known as 'fairy duster' which is rather lovely!

A lovely plant to bump into growing wild. There's a stretch of this at the base of a local hedgerow - more so this year than last.
Oxalis articulata. Apparently it's originally from South America, so it probably came to Northern Ireland for a holiday and decided to stay for the craic.

The subject is a pink plastic cutlery strainer from Ikea with small elliptical holes for water drainage in its base.
The bigger diameter of the hole is 8mm.
I stuck a pinkish pin head into the drainage hole. If you look carefully you could see the pin shadow.
You can also see all the scarring marks on the plastic.
I deliver the bubbles into the hole by blowing with a straw.
Only one light source of natural light at 12 o'clock.
I have turned the image upside down for better effect.
Many thanks for your visit, comments and faves...it is always appreciated..

I think it's a Smoketree or smoke bush (Cotinus /koʊˈtaɪnəs/) which is a genus of two species of flowering plants in the family Anacardiaceae, closely related to the sumacs (Rhus). (info from Wikipedia).
Not about people, totally about landscape, in the middle of sunset, sometime pink is very attracitive colour! 同人無關,純風景,在日落中,有時粉紅色也相當具有誘惑力!

A slight pink at the end of the day, unfortunately I was too late and at the wrong place to capture it's full intensity. If it wasn't for doing a 366, I wouldn't post this, but that's the challenge of doing such a project. You have to take what you get. Finally, it still represents a slice of the day it was.

This pink camelia is growing at the bottom of our cottage garden now and flowering and covered in many new buds.
These are large bushes and can have pink, white & red flowers quite similar to a rose.
They have very shiny leaves.
Common names include -Tea plant & tea shrub.
They signify themes of love, admiration, longing, adoration, desire, devotion and passion.
In Japan it's prized for it's beauty and has associations with the sacred and the divine.
They flower in late Winter & early Spring.
Gazania /ɡəˈzeɪniə/ is a genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae, native to Southern Africa. They are also called African daisies
The flowers are light-sensitive and don't open at night or on cloudy, overcast days.
An orange sunset glow on the lamppost glass, seen against the pink sky looking south.
I was standing high up on the Sir Donald Bradman overpass bridge, looking directly across at this tall lamppost mounted on Railway Terrace below.
