When it comes to a picture of the Winter Park Express, you simply could not ask for better conditions! An arctic front moved in yesterday, bringing around four inches of snow and below zero temperatures. Today, thanks to the cold weather, the snow is sticking around under clear skies. The Ski Train is approaching the east portal of Tunnel 1 on its trip west.

Not my best photo by a long stretch but this is the first & only time I've ever seen one of these tiny "Picture Wing" flies. I was so excited as I didn't realise we had them in Ireland. I'll be looking out for them next Spring & hope to get a better shot HFDF!

The interesting feature of this picture is that I set the camera on f8 focus on 2 metres with the the shutter and ISO set on auto.

I drove past this lone tree a number of times while out in the Palouse region, and I had to make a point of stopping at least one of those times.

Heading out for the next few weeks. Just about 5,000 miles south/southwest from here, and hopefully returning with plenty of new pics.

The intricately detailed mosaics inside the Church of Saviour on the Spilled Blood depicts biblical scenes and figures, with finely patterned borders setting off each picture. If looked from straight down, it seems that the heavens have been pictured. It is also to be noted that while clicking this picture I noticed the right side was a little off and then I noticed that its a cloth and they made it to keep the beauty of the place intact while the restoration goes on
