Image made in response to Macro Mondays' June 14 theme, "Pick Two," combining 'curved' and 'pottery' (plus 'striped').
Note: White 'mat' added to simulate how image would look if framed and presented in a gallery. The mat is not part of the image.

Glass hard candy with twisted ends for the Macro Mondays group, topic: Pick Two -- Twisted Glass. I could also go with twisted candy using the street definition of twisted to mean weird or strange for the concept of glass candy. Happy Macro Monday!

female twelve-spotted skimmer, Libellula pulchella
Macro Mondays: pick two: delicate insect
33/100, 100x (100 species of insects)
The adjectives from which to choose for the pick two are striped, jagged, delicate, curved, and metallic. This lady actually fits all but "jagged," and that might have worked had I shown her legs. :-) So here is my striped, delicate, curved, metallic insect, the lovely female twelve-spotted skimmer. With a background of yellow sweet clover in southern Indiana.
The female of this species actually fits the term "twelve-spotted skimmer" better than the male does, since the male has additional spots. His photo is posted in the comments.
Hindwings about 4 1/2 centimeters wide, or less than two inches. Thank you in advance for your views, faves, and comments.
