Penn State York celebrated all things Pi on March 14 during the second annual Pi Day in the conference center with more than 100 people in attendance. In addition to enjoying pizza and pie, students participated in contests to determine who can recite the most digits of Pi, and for those more adept at physical representations of Pi, a hula hoop contest even brought out some faculty members. Students by far were able to hula hoop going the longest. The group also heard all about the history of Pi.

The date is 3.14 Happy Pi Day! Gotta post a Pi(e). Made this one last week for a good friend. It's my usual many berry pie and can you believe I didn't eat ONE piece? Horrors! He told me it was delicious so I will have to take his word for it.

At about 10:00 a.m., Portland State University students and factulty, and members of the Portland community, gathered in the Urban Center for a 17 minute rally to speak out against gun violence. Candice Avalos, ASPSU Coordinator of Student Government Relations and Greek Life Advisor spoke about her persnal experience with gun violence as a child.
