Archimedes is in the House! Everyone will be glad to know that 2.75 < π < 4. Taking the average of our two bounds, we have a middle guess of 3.375, which is only a 7.4% error.
Each year on March 14th, Langara's Mathematics & Sciences celebrates Pi Day on 3.14 at 3:14pm by giving out 314 slices of pie. Students enter a draw and one lucky winner receives a $314 tuition prize.

Capturing pi in photos
In Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Adams reckoned all shops (in the 1980s London) were turning into shoe shops. In Vienna, all shops seem to be turning in underwear shops.
I wanted to try to take one of those photos where it looks like my project goes on forever and ever. I'm not sure it worked...

on Saturday morning Ron suddenly agreed to go to dim sum with me. This is shocking because he hates eating too much at a time and isn't that basically what dim sum is all about?
Not one to miss a chance we left immediately. No dim sum pictures because we ate too fast.

One more from the Physics building set...this one is right outside the front and is supposed to represent the pi orbital that you hear about in chemistry.
These are the photos I took underwater. My favorite shots are of the lion fish, the sea fans and the frog fish. I am still working on my underwater photo taking skills, as you can see- I have a long way to go! Hope you enjoy the shots.
