Kari makes like forty posters a day like it ain't no thing. Is it talent? You bet. Is it ALSO magic? She'll never tell. But I will. No, it's all talent.
Now that Fraggle (old slow tortoise) is out of hibernation, joining Hermann II (speedy, junior tortoise) who refused to hibernate this winter, we decided we'd change their living arrangements. They now have 'run' (walk?) of the greenhouse which gets warm quickly, plus a nice section of the garden. The fences and shelters are all moveable so there will be plenty of changing around to hopefully not ruin the grass too much.
With only one lens (and the stock zoom at that), I spend so much time photographing things in close-up so I can get a nice soft focus and pretend to be a good photographer. Until I get a new lens, I'll have to try and play with a zoomed-out lens. Sure, it makes my kitchen look even more spacious than it is. That's something.
I hadn't included a skating shot in the "one photo every day" project until now. This bowl has been an icon of Bondi for longer than I've been alive.
Quite a few of the regular bowl-riders were out today. The two girls in the foreground (pink and white helmets) looked about 8 and 10 respectively, and were shredding!
Also, check out the number of people on the beach. :)
Jack arranged for loads of choir people to get discount tickets to Sister Act, which was awesome. Obviously, we couldn't take pictures during the show, but taking pictures in the interval seemed okay. They usually charge a fee for borrowing the spy-glasses, but I discovered that this pair was loose...
Kahli has 'claimed' Portia to be her cat - you rarely see her without her in her arms when she's home... the poor cat LOL
I'm not happy with this pic, I wish I framed it differently - that was kind of hard to do though as her younger brother was trying to upstage her and get in every piccie I took LOL Kahli has always been naturally this pale, she's got very little pigment in her skin which means she can be hard to photograph... I guess there's plenty of time to improve with a further 358 days of the challenge ahead!!! :P
I've had a really good week and been out and socialised loads, but I still miss having the HFBB around, especially when he's working stupidly long hours and the relatively short amount of time we're able to talk during the day is compressed further.
The light sunburn I got wandering around London for a couple of hours and is because I never remember to wear sunscreen when going out (on account of growing up in Scotland where sunscreen was only required one day every two years or so).
We're *mostly* a raw vegan family, minus using both ezekiel sprouted grain breads as well as occasional brown rice w/beans. This soups has a bit of the brown rice and bean mixture in a raw vegan broth, with lots of raw veggies atop. Yummo!
It was Ele, James and Pippin's combined birthday party. Here's Ele in her Marylin Monroe dress taking pictures.
Day 41
Weekend of no alcohol getting off to a great start. Double jager and coke went down a treat….
Messing about with lighting again.
Louise and I get Thai takeaways, watch movies and try to keep the peace between our little ratbag pups.

Wife broke her ankle last night. This is a poster in the plaster room of the hospital; looks like we'll be investing in some new shower apparel!
Third Photo A Day, I'm not even sure why I called it struggle. Maybe it should have been shiny? Shiny Struggle? Struggle Sun? I don't know.
