San Felipe Road on the way to Anza Borrego

Today Dad and I went mountain bike riding in Jindabyne. It was such a nice day and I’m glad I could spend it with dad. It will be my last night sleeping at home for the trip which I’m pretty upset about. I had to give my dog, Pepi one last snuggle in bed. Its always so hard to say goodbye to him because you can’t tell him that I’m leaving again or that i will even come back.

Packing tonight to fly back home tomorrow. Getting very excited to see all my friends, my dog, my parents and of course my beautiful sister. I wish my break was more then I week. I know now that it won’t be long enough, they never are…

Last Tuesday of having a full day at Uni because our afternoon class is finishing for the year. I was filling in paperwork to move into my new place and printing ID off so I could go into their office after Uni and hand it in. After I did that I went to my new place and met my other new room mate, she seemed lovely and I reckon we will get along very well, so thats exciting and I can’t wait to go out with her. The reason I was there though is because my other flatmate is moving out in a month so he decided that we should all help decide who is going to live there after him because we will be the ones having to put up with them. We met a couple people that looked through the place but most people didn’t turn up so we decided, once we all move in we will do it again then. After that, I had to go home and finish my Uni essay, fun stuff

I was planning to do a photo shoot today but it fell through so we’ve reorganised it for Thursday. So instead I edited again pretty much all day and now my photos are finished and online! Check them out here minttreephotography.tumblr.com

After yesterdays lonely night, I thought it would be good to go out in Melbourne and do something fun. So my friend Jess came around and we ate asian food and drank cider, then took the train into the city. We didn’t want to take a taxi back to mine because we thought it would be quite expensive, so we thought we’d have an early one and just try and catch the last train running. But we were having so much fun at the club, we lost track of time and the last train had long gone. Thinking of what to do, we decided to just wait for the first morning train at 5:45am. So we stayed up until the very last song and then started heading towards Flinders Station. But we ended up making a friend along the way and then we ended up at Crown with his friends and the rest is history. Such a funny and spontaneous night, so good but

Monday, Monday, Monday… They are always hard as hell to get out of bed in the morning but my Mondays have been pretty good lately actually. They are always a bit spontaneous and fun and they are my favourite day of the week at the moment.

The Tribunal Hearing for our bond was today at VCAT. It was quite an experience I must say. I had to swear on the bible to tell the truth and nothing but the truth etc and then I got questions fired at me in no particular order and I tried my best to stay on top of everything and it only went for about half an hour. So for a brief summary of what was happening, out of the four tenants that were living at the property we had last year, we payed $3760 for the bond, which is $940 each and they were trying to take all of it and more from us, so I decided to take them to court. And good news! It went really well, only $340 will be taken out of our bond instead of the $4765 they originally wanted. Which means we only lose $80 each! I’m so thrilled its over and it went as well as it did. They were just trying to take advantage of us because we were young, so my mother and myself put a lot of hard work and effort to collect mountains of evidence for the hearing and it was all worth it. I felt great after it, like I could do anything now and not be scared or intimidated. So the rest of the day I was really happy, told everyone and celebrated with a couple of drinks and fun times. Ps, The photo of the day was the last thing on my mind, so forgive me today

Pretty much finished unpacking my room now and getting settled in. Now all the assignments are starting to roll in and things get hectic. I’m kind of looking forward to it, but I definitely won’t be saying that in a couple of weeks!
