I love azaleas. Here in Vancouver they have a relatively limited life span, because as soon as it rains they just collapse and fall to the ground!
This one was actually a brilliant pink, but I'm a bit disappointed; the photos I took ended up so fluorescent pink and washed out, it almost hurt to look at them! But with the tint toned down a bit, I was quite happy with the way this one turned out.

Sometimes improper white balance, inadequate light, improper exposure and some other factors may give your photograph a dull impact which can be removed by color correction.
It's gloomy today but I had to take a few pictures anyway. Had thought I'd use one of these for the photo prompt today, which is "splash" but they didn't really work, I didn't think. However, how much fun I am having with photo editing is obvious! Really enjoy trying different effects. Even out of focus shots hold a new interest for me. Some are really cool!

This is a variation on the that cool photo I was lucky to stumble upon while heading back to my room at the Sheraton in Puerto Vallarta. The hotel had these great open air hallways giving this 12th floor hallway a killer view where otherwise you might find just another boring corridor.
For this variation on the image I cooled the tone down, providing bit more definition to the space and the light filling it. I am experimenting with Adobe Photoshop Light Room's development tools...might be a good addition to my photo editing toolkit!
