On the horn with Mr Lindgren at the Starobrno brewery. (This shot had some file error so spp or ps wouldn't let me edit it, so I did a print screen before the error message came up. It really pisses me off, I've missed some really good shots cause of this)

While peacefully lying in bed this morning, I got a frantic phonecall from Mr. Andrew Matuska. The NYC heritage unit was coming my direction and he was on the way after running it from Northtown to La Crosse! We met up in Cassville, because he wanted to shoot it down here, and went from Cassville to East Dubuque before we broke off the chase because we didn't want to get arrested for our driving in Flat-lander country (Illinois). After shooting him here, we hightailed it south/east to Potosi. We beat him to Potosi by 3-4 minutes. For the un-informed, Potosi to Cassville is 18 miles by road, 13 miles by rail. We passed light speed and went to plad!

Looks like a girlfriend phonecall to me.

Performance "Phonecalls" Intercom Festival 1988 Filmhaus Bielefeld

Coming out of the cinema (Tuesday night sneak preview), Bumba decided to make a phone call to Carice. A silly idea, of course, because Carice was already in a deep sleep! It was 11pm, after all.

.

I'm alone at home this week end.

Buuut luckily my adorable poodle is here :D

Yes, I know little monster that you like better mamma, but these days you'll have to do everything I want you to xD [people who already met my puppy know that this is TOTALLY impossible]. You're under my authority[....?]!

Today I'm feeling blissfully happy. Don't know why.

Oh, well, I actually know.

But I can't see the reason why taking a good mark and having a really nice phonecall can make me so joyful.

Well, it doesn't matter, I'll take advantage of it :)

GOODNIHT EVERYBODY.

[Man, I'm terribly moody.]

The PC Monitor is marked: "DO NOT TOUCH and bring back my monitor".

Ah, if only they'd added their address. I would have been very happy to help.

And asked a Haringey Enforcement Officer to call round with it.

Haringey recycles old TVs, computers etc. We collect them from residents' homes for free.

It takes just one phonecall to arrange.

Another fear and loathing image in HDR this time with the theme communication.

I love that I can curl up on the couch with my morning coffee when my best friends drink and dial from Australia. Nighttime for them, morning for me.

WITH TWO MINUTES LEFT BEFORE MIDNIGHT...I present my day 3.

i used to be able to carry on a four hour conversation with you, no problem. we would talk about everything. we'd laugh so hard it hurt. i used to love talking on the phone with you...and i know some of this is personal but i mean...i hate talking on the phone- despise it. but despite that i could talk to you. i miss laughing with you on the phone, i miss being your best friend AND your girlfriend, i miss not yelling at you or wishing things were better and i miss kissing you without worry. i remember when we were a complete secret and it was a rush to sneak kisses or embraces around our friends, because it was so...i wouldn't say dangerous, but a risk, maybe, around them...

but now i just stare blankly until the dial tone starts.

(this is for july 1, but was submitted to 365 Days on the 2nd because i'm a moron.)

Today Ben's teacher phoned him. He's been struggling quite a bit throughout all this situation. I couldn't listen as Seb was being a noisy toddler but he came away feeling quite happy.

fresh phonecables at contruction area

this pretty much summed up last night.

One of my best friends, it is crazy to think that we have been friends for over 18 years.

resigned as official, by Juventus, because he tapted lots of phones. In that way he and his friends could influence the outcoms of soccergames. At this moment he's back home with his mama, crying out loud, that he's to weak to answer difficult questions. (His son is broker for all 200 players and coachers of Juventus...) Poor muddy moggi. He's full of selfpity, and will do his utmost best, to say in trial that he did nothing wrong. Its all becase he had to clean the kitchen, just before an important game was starting. Its his mother who's to blame!

... more visitors, more phonecalls, and the grand finale ... the family party today

This is only the third occasion from memory that the two Powerhaul liveried class 86s have been paired up locally and they were the main reason I came out today. I had intended to catch them at Crane Lane but fortunately I had a phonecall from my Ipswich correspondent to say they had left on 4M81 not 4M88 - their normal Monday return diagram, so had to quickly activate Plan B as they were close behind my train. There was still a sizeable bit of sun at the time, but it didn't last long!

Some use it to study, some to make phonecalls to the company, some just to chillax and hang out and indulge their coffee-addiction (yours truly).

I was so furious today, i trembled all over for 2 hours.

I heard today that last wednesday a parcel delivery truck has been stolen because the driver left the doors open while delivering a package. And 2 of those stolen packages are mine!!!!!

Today they delivered one of the two, a book that now has water damage from being left out in the rain (Eclips, 3rd of the Twilight series, hardcover). They found it with the truck. The mo@#&$@*#ckers took everything except the books. How cliché.

The other parcel is probably a LL, or the rlkataja wardrobe for my new girl. I do extra jobs in weekends so i can afford my hobby, and those assholes just take it from me. I wanted to hurt them really badly :-(

But i feel a lot better again. I talked to my mum for 2 minutes on the phone and i was calm again. There are (as far as i know now) 3 people on this planet who can calm me down and make me feel foolish for getting upset about such a thing, and make me think "Oh well, cest la vie, it's only money". Not that i have money to spare, but it's still just money.

Nothing i can do now, so i'll wait till monday and then i'll call and see if i can get a bit of my $150 back. Today is the first day of a week off, so i'm not spoiling that by feeling angry anymore.

I guess thats what bothered me most. I never get angry. I get upset, or sad, but never furious like this. I scared myself a little today.

So after the phonecall i went for groceries and smiley fries were on sale. I buy junkfood about once every 4 or 5 months, and i never fry food myself (or maybe once every few years), but today i did. And i bought coca cola, which i also hardly ever do, because usually i dont drink soda's. AND i bought ice cream, Ben & Jerry's, which i hardly ever do either, because they are freakin 5 euro's for a small portion. Ice cream while watching Jackie Chan...

So now i'm not only calmed down, but also very content. I need so little to be happy again :-D

I took a few pictures tonight. How can you not be happy again when your food is smiling at you?

LOCATION; Bridgeton Cross

Wal waits for a phonecall at the phonebox on Bridgeton cross.

I tracked this down from the blue building over Wals right shoulder. The building has gone but it appears in the scene on picture 50 looking back towards the cross.

This guy is soooo funny - The Fonjacker is running around the UK pissing people off with his classic impersonations. Sometimes he phones as an Indian from a call centre, or as a Nigerian Phishing scam - you name it... he does it.

And people loooose their cool so often - HILARIOUS!

Nanjing. Not sure if the light on the left is a bit distracting, I tried cropping it out and didn't like the composition at all.

It definitely was a strange day. I put out a request to carpool to an event in the city tonight, on a list I read, and thought maybe some folks who know me and might want to go to the event would respond. Instead I had emails and phonecalls from 5 perfect strangers and 1 person I met briefly a couple of weeks ago. Plus an old boyfriend who still reads the list, even though he isn't local anymore, started corresponding with me. We volleyed emails at each other all day, with fond memories and sweet compliments. What fun. And what a whirlwind of unexpected social interaction. Sure feels like 'ask, and you shall receive." I did carpool to the city and back with a stranger, bumped into some old acquaintances, and met some new folks too. It was all so unusual and unexpected. But hey, I'm not complaining. Just taking notes, so I can make it happen some more. :-) The theme of the event/lecture is that we don't even know our own potential. I think I at least get that I do have a lot of untapped potential. Sure of it in fact. And boy was this carpooling request an exercise in manifesting some of that potential. Phew!
