Well….made it into day two with our sweet Runyon! He is continuing to adjust really well to our house - and Cosmo seems cautious though they got close today. The good thing is that Runyon is not aggressive. Taken after a long day - May 5th, 2019 in Saline, Michigan.

Random Saturday chores. Taking the kids to get their hair cut and washing the dog at the pet store.

This is Joey, our cockatiel.

NO! I am not insane! I know I have a bunch of cats in the house and having a bird seems strange..........but Joey, like all the other critters here needed a home.

My stepson received him years ago as a gift. When he was forced to move, he was unable to take the bird with him, so guess who he called?

Joey was only supposed to be a temporary resident, however Larry became rather attached to him........so he is now a full time resident at Cat Hill Farms.

Joey was never hand trained. He is a NASTY bird! If you put your hand in his cage, he WILL bite you! I know that if I worked on it, I could have him hand trained in no time.....but with 7 cats and a crazy dog wandering around I have no safe place to work with him.....so he stays in his cage. He seems fine with this arrangement.

Our cat, tolerated having his picture taken. A flash was used to illuminate the raw image. The raw file was processed in Digital Photo Professional. The image was edited in PaintShop Pro. The tonal range was adjusted with a curves layer.

A hue/saturation/lightness layer was used to adjust the red tones in Henry's fur.
