Persian cats in a photo studio by Bruno Pita
He hates extreme cold, extreme heat, rain, and snow. And the poor guy has to live with us in Indiana.
This is sealed. This is a virtual pet that plugs in between your portable music device and your earphones that "dances" and lights up in sync with whatever music is playing. The more music you play, the more the pet develops.
Hammy is becoming a bit more friendly toward me and will hang out and be companionable with my husband. I keep warning him not to get too close yet, though. I don't think Hammy has ever been touched by anyone in his life.
We visited this girls owner last weekend, where I was photographing the ceiling tiles in the hon-do (main building of worship) that were hand painted by the parishioners over a hundred years ago.
I learned her story:
When she was a tiny kitten, she had fallen through the floor boards at one of the shrines in the area, and her head got stuck. She dangled there for what they suspect was days, until her new owners children heard her mewing for her life on their way to school. Since this is *very* rural Japan, they didn't expect her to even survive until they could get her to a vet days later. Her skull had been crushed from dangling there and struggling for such a long time, and she was very dehydrated and lost a lot of blood from where it had caved in.
But fight she did, and proved she's a survivor. She's nearly a year old now, and the sweetest thing you can imagine, and has the whole of their temple grounds to play in.
A friend at work is helping to adopt out these kittens, so we did a little photoshoot for them for advertising. Having said that, kittens pretty much advertise themselves!
Knit up a class pet. I'm going to let the kids name it. Pattern by Mochimochiland. Uploaded for Ravelry.
She was abandoned (it seems) in front of our house in July 2009. She was about 1 or 2 according to the vet. She was scared of wide movements, unexpected sounds, and visibly not used of being cuddled. But finally after some time she became a really really sweet friend :)
Hace dos semanas, con la Dana tenemos un hijo. Es el gato más pequeño del mundo, tambien conocido como "Viernes" (en honor a Robinson Crusoe y no al día en que llegó).
Xavier and I went to his Aunts house to take photographs. As we walked the acre of land Sparky, his aunts dog followed us. He is so cute and tiny. He reminds me of a smaller Maya.
"Can I take a picture of your dog?"
One of those questions that dog owners in the city might hear once in a while. I couldn't help it though - the sun was setting which cast this great orange light, and here was this wise old dog napping by his owner's feet. He was just watching the world go by - a wallflower, a calm watchdog.
His name is Charlie. Wise behind his canine years, I'm sure.
