Ingredientes:

1 dente de alho

1/4 xícara castanhas de caju, do Pará ou nozes

1/4 xícara queijo parmesão

1 xícara de folhas de manjericão

1/4 xícara de azeite de oliva

Sal a gosto

Pique grosseiramente em pequenos pedaços as castanhas de caju, leve-as ao fogo alto em uma frigideira para dar uma leve tostada e liberar todo aroma e sabor, retire do fogo e reserve.

Em um processador de alimentos coloque todos os outros ingredientes, transformando quase em uma pasta ou pique em pedaços bem pequenos os ingredientes e os misture bem. Acrescente as castanhas tostadas e temos o pesto de manjericão, mas pode ser feito de várias formas de salsinha, agrião, até mesmo ramas da cenoura por exemplo.

Bem armazenado (fechado) na geladeira dura até uma semana, sirva com o macarrão de sua preferência ou em brusquetas e bolachinhas salgadas.

Outside. Backyard. In the dark (iPhone brightened the photo and I did my best to darken it but…) because my dog had to go out and play. Always play. Driving him crazy having me home but lying in bed. He’s growling and munching on my arm right now. He’s not the only pest I have either. The other one was just gross earlier. Can’t go there. Happy as a clam though she was. And it made me happy. I’m lucky to have such great pests. Real lucky. Now shower the chill off and go to bed. Night.
