A secret code that I found on the openings on the sidewalks in the city of Bologna. When I discovered these coloured points in all the city, I though it was something of artistic or an arcane language for strange groups of people. What is it? I challenge you to guess, and you can challenge your friends.

Ti sfido a indovinare, e tu puoi sfidare i tuoi amici a fare altrettanto.

Risposta:

La realtà è semplice: sono i segnali del passaggio dei disinfestatori antizanzare.

This odd-looking wasp is an egg parasite of structure-infesting cockroaches and appears indoors when cockroaches are present. (They are evidence of a cockroach infestation.) The body is about 1cm long, not including the antennae and legs. It is unclear how much control these parasitic wasps can offer in buildings that have cockroach infestations. For more information about ensign wasps see: entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/urban/roaches/ensign_wasp.htm

Rats and rodents are considered to be one of the filthiest animals found in the planet. Rats are known to carry unwanted viruses and diseases which can be a health hazard for humans, both children and adults. Rats and rodents are very unsanitary, and they can contaminate your home rapidly if they are not extracted on time. These pests typically attack the attic and can multiply in numbers fast. While living in your home, they will urinate and defecate just about at any place convenient for them. Rat's are attracted to insulation because they can burrow under them and hide.

Wild animals such as raccoons, skunks, or even opossums were once not often present or seen in city or urban areas. With less and less land for wild animals to reside in, it is no longer uncommon to find them breaking into attics and crawlspaces of a home. Wild animals trespassing into homes are usually there as a place for security to give birth or provide a safe place for their offspring. It's highly advised that when you are hearing unusual noises in your attic or have witnessed wild animals at your property to have them removed immediately. Wild animals can be aggressive and dangerous to the residence of the home, especially if they are protecting their young.

Ralph is the Orkin Man. He's been one of the iconic pest control specialists featured in many different commercials. But what makes him different is the fact that he's actually a pest control specialist. He kind of lucked into the job, first appearing in a few training videos, and then as a technical adviser on a few commercials, and then finally landing a principle role on the job today. After this star treatment, however, Ralph goes back to reality as a service manager where he faces the possibility of encountering some truly horrific pest problems. He told me a few stories today that almost made me lose my lunch. So I won't share them here. Rest assured, they were gross.

Cicada exoskeleton. As nymphs, cicadas develop underground and feed on liquids in plant roots. Before their final molt into adulthood, nymphs crawl out of the ground and attach to a vertical surface, such as a tree trunk. The adult will emerge from this last skin and fly away, leaving the exoskeleton behind. The split in the middle this exoskeleton is where the adult emerged.

This looks pretty bad, but it's actually NOT photoshopped. TJ turned his head down and behind his body to follow the bug just when the photo was being made :-)
