Class 43 no. 43306 at the rear of the 1200 Virgin Trains East Coast service from London Kings Cross to Inverness at Perth. Due to engineering works on the Highland Main Line between Perth and Inverness, the service terminated at Perth.

Back in 1987 I visited Perth on business and I was able to grab a few shots of the city. Even before the mining boom of the late 1990s and the early part of the current century the city was starting its growth.
