The top handful of floors on the 1,450 foot tall Willis Tower (Sears Tower). This was taken back in May of 2009 and the 103rd floor SkyDeck was closed for renovations and for the addition of four all glass "Ledges"! In the mean time, guest were accomodated on "back-up" 99th floor observation deck. You can clearly see here in this shot the construction taking place on the 103rd floor. BTW, the new "Ledges" are open and they are simply breathtaking! You really need to see them first hand for yourself!
If you want to see what it looks like inside one of these, looking straight down 1,353 feet, take a look at this: www.flickr.com/photos/perspectivephotography/3906914003/
For reference purpose, this is the west facing side of the building.
Here's a 2006 look at the Pima Air & Space Museum's Aero Spacelines B377-SG "Super Guppy" freighter.
The Super Guppy was built directly from the fuselage of a C-97J Turbo Stratocruiser...the military version of the Boeing B377 Stratocruiser passenger airliner of the 1950's.
Super Guppies were used to haul oversize parts for aircraft and spacecraft. One Super Guppy SGT remains in use, transporting cargo for NASA.
Here's a look at the active SGT, photographed by my Flickr friend Michael Davis:
Got bored so I went back and cleaned up one of my older shots of this great looking DC-3C. I like this version better. :)
Info:
This particular one is the trainer DC-3C for pilots to practice in before flying the "Flagship Detroit" which you can see in this set wonderfully photographed by Michael Davis.
See, both Casey and myself have flown this aircraft before. In the simulator! See, each simulator is designed after a certain specific airplane. It just so happens that one of the 767 sims at Delta is patterned after this airplane. The simulator that is patterned after this jet: www.flickr.com/photos/perspectivephotography/2778986307/i...
Certainly one of my favorite planes. The DC-3 is a pleasure to watch fly!

Concept: This isn't about my sister! Im just using her as a kid playing as a representation. I'd hoped someone had changed and learnt and was shown that they hadn't. I really hoped the best for them and I hope they still can learn from this experience.

223/366: Williams Creek Reservoir Colorado – Long Exposure
A long exposure shot of Williams Creek Reservoir in Colorado. Williams Creek Reservoir is one of my favorite places to visit when going to Colorado. The peacefulness and serenity is unmatched. The isolation and landscape views are majestic. One can just stare out at the San Juan Mountain range as you breathe in the cool fresh air and feel the crisp breeze off the lake.
This photo was taken with my Nikon D810 and Lee Filters CP and Big Stopper for an exposure time of 20 seconds at f/8, ISO 100 – 14mm.

221/366: Durango To Silverton Train
A photo of the Durango to Silverton Train engines at the Silverton Depot. We did not ride the train, but had the opportunity to photograph them when we arrived in Silverton. I love the mountains in the background of this photo and the smoke from the train engine in towards the middle of the photography. I also found a nice surprise in the photo – my father is sitting on the bench to the left of the photography! As an avid train lover, I’m sure he enjoyed watching these two beautiful train engines.

219/366: Silverton Colorado – Off The Beaten Path
After eating an awesome lunch at the Brown Bear Cafe, I decided to wander around the parts of Silverton Colorado that are off the beaten path. The areas most “tourist” don’t go and I found Cement Creek, which runs through town. I pulled out my camera, tripod and Lee Filters Circular Polarizer and Big Stopper and captured the creek showing the water movement as it runs over the boulders and rocks, with what I believe, is Kendall Peak in the background. The sky was perfect, it was a windy day, as you can tell from the tree and bush movement in the photograph. They almost appear to be painting the area with a lush green smear.

217/366: The Forest Is Calling
I relish this view of the San Juan National Forest with the beautiful Apsen trees spread out among the wilderness which is the forest. The contrast of the aspen trees against the brilliantly blue sky and crisp green grass is so striking it makes you just stare endlessly into the beauty which is the San Juan National Forest. The fallen aspen acts as a leading line to bring the viewer right into the heart of the photograph.
Photo taken with my Nikon D810 and Lee Filters Circular Polarizer in the San Juan National Forest.

222/366: Leonard Johns Park Flower Mound Texas
Another shot from the other day out at Leonard Johns Park in Flower Mound Texas. This photo was taken using my Nikon D810 and Lee Filters CP and Big Stopper for an exposure time of 30 seconds at f/11, ISO 31 – 14mm. The white movement in the pond are 3 American Pekin ducks. They came over to me looking for food and left unsatisfied. The water has an icy appearance due to the long exposure of the photography.

220/366: Tranquility at Sunset – Black and White
A beautiful long exposure of the Colorado Sunset in black and white. This photo was taken on our last evening in Pagosa Springs Colorado at Village Lake. The wind was calm and the lake followed suite. The tallest mountain in the background is Pagosa Peak. Photo taken with my Nikon D810 and Lee Filters Big Stopper for an exposure of 333 seconds at f/8, ISO 100 – 14mm. This photo is straight out of the camera (SOOC) except for the conversion to black and white. It offers the viewer a glimpse into the tranquility at sunset, if you could only hear the geese flying in from the east – the scene would be perfect.

I’m excited to announce the arrival of Joey – a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander SEL- to our household. Charlie (the 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse) has been traded in. The new car allows for need space for my photography equipment and will be perfect for all the upcoming road trips we have planned.
Photo taken today with my Nikon D810 and Lee Filters Circular Polarizer and Big Stopper for an exposure time of 25 seconds at f/11, ISO 100 – 14mm.

216/366: Gods of The Forest
These two Gods of The Forest stand tall and strong in a land full of beauty and artistry. A majestic Aspen and a Ponderosa Pine join forces in the midst of the San Juan National Forest. I love how these two trees stand out against the rest of the forest and how much taller they beam up into the sky. Like neighbors, they seem to look out for each other and dominate in unison there part of the forest. They are the Gods of the Forest.
Photo taken with my Nikon D810 and Lee Filters Circular Polarizer in San Juan National Forest Colorado.

224/366: Sunset and Moonrise
The sunset over Village Lake in Pagosa Springs Colorado created a silhouette of the local trees and homes against the colors of the sunset. The moonrise added a nice crescent of a moon in the upper left corner of the photograph. This was taken on our final night in Pagosa Springs and I just sat and watched to take in all the beauty before heading back home.
This photo was taken with my Nikon D810 and Lee Filters Big Stopper for an exposure time of 30 seconds at f/2.8, ISO 100 – 14mm.

Vicky demonstrating how to take a photo with a different perspective! Natesh quickly sits down to try the shot himself! Me clicking this is from another angle! :P
A line of palm trees captured in the simplicity of black and white, standing tall like silent guardians of time. The absence of color emphasizes the raw texture of the trunks and the elegant forms of the leaves, creating a timeless and contemplative mood. An ode to nature's symmetry and strength.
185/366: Ready Set Go… (old rusty cars)
These two old rusty cars appear to be ready to start a race, a race out of the bush. Who knows how long these two relics have been getting lost in the weeds, but they sure were interesting to look at and photography in North Carolina.

184/366: Lost Among The Trees – North Carolina Pines
As I do with every destination I travel to, A ‘Lost Among The Trees’ series.. This one is from North Carolina and taken outside the Mack headquarters. I love this perspective when photographing trees and I love comparing the way each one looks at the different destinations or locations. I love pine trees almost as much as I love Aspen, so I had to get a Pine Tree perspective also.

The G-Wagon is 1/24th scale and the Jeep is 1/18th scale. Having some fun with perspective "trick" photography.
Certainly one of my favorite planes. The DC-3 is a pleasure to watch fly!
This particular one is the trainer DC-3 for pilots to practice in before flying the "Flagship Detroit" which you can see in this set wonderfully photographed by Michael Davis.
I had to multi-task here.
Hold the lense cover in my mouth, hold the lamp up to light it the way I wanted and take the picture one handedly.
In the Sears Tower Looking North West at C&NW station, and also Chicago Union Station's tracks heading north/west.
The stone staircase at Seaton Delaval hall, owned by the @nationaltrust, Northumberland. The Delaval family were keen supporters of William the Conqueror, and were gifted land in Northumbria after their welcome support in 1066 (the battle of Hastings). After buying the house of his bankrupt cousin Admiral George Delaval commissioned the famous Sir John Vanburgh to design the building as it stands today in the 1720’s. Sadly in 1822 the house was ravished by a great fire, leading to great damage throughout. During World War II theeast wing of the house was turned into a prisoner of war camp and by the 1950 the family returned to the house after over a 100 years of absence #amaturephotography #amaturephotographer #amature #architecture #architecturephotography #architecturephotographer #building #buildingphotographer #buildingphotography #nationaltrust #statleyhome #staircase #perspectivephotography #britisharchitecture #female #femalephotographer #cannon #cannonphotography #cannonphotographer #cannon700d #lightanddark #contrast #stonestairs #stone #steal #stealrailings
The Tennessee Titans charter chariot awaits them on MY side of the field!!!! What a change!
Came in as "Delta 1554" from Atlanta and left as "Delta 9785" to Cincinnati, Ohio. This is a former Delta Song bird and can be seen here: www.flickr.com/photos/perspectivephotography/2085680048/
I love this truck.
Shot bracketed at -2, 0, +2, merged with Photomatix Pro exposure fusion, then further processed with layer styles (including tweaked vintage paper and charcoal effect), lighting adjustments then finally masking at 35% opacity to bring the truck back to the forefront.
Twice submerged by a large high-altitude lake, the salt flats now cover a total area of over 12000 square km (7440 square miles) and today serve as one of the country’s main salt mining centres. The last large lake dried up about 8000 years ago, leaving the small lakes of Poopó and Ururu, as well as the salt flats of Uyuni.
A bit of detail as published in "The Tullahoma News" on the upcoming 2010 Tullahoma Regional Airport Airshow and Terminal Dedication (I'm not sure on the "official" name, but we'll all find out together eventually!) Last years show featured local favorite Chris Rounds in his immaculate CT-33 "Shooting Star," Julie Clark in her incredible Beechcraft T-34 "Mentor," the Tennessee Highway Patrol's UH-1V "Huey" as a static display, and a few more homebuilt statics from the Loehle Aircraft Corporation (P-51 "5151 Mustang" + P-40 "Warhawk").
The "airshow" is really an FAA-necessary event to NOTAM the field for fireworks, and since our local football field was out of commission last year, the Kiwanis club asked the airport authority for permission to use KTHA for the fireworks. Apparently the 2009 show was such a hit that even though Tullahoma High School has a brand new multi-million dollar stadium the community will be returning again to our humble little airfield to celebrate the Fourth of July and dedicate our brand-new terminal building! More to follow as I know it!
