Except for the island, all of the photo’s elements are moving in different directions

Looking out towards the sky framing a clear view of the blue sky and some clouds beyond.

The scene is dominated by strong contrasts between the shadowed interior and the brilliant light emanating from the doorway highlighting the texture of the stone.

Looking up can be a way to clear one's mind and find new ideas or perspectives, a metaphor for seeking inspiration.

Shot from the interior doorway of Abydos temple, one of the most sacred sites in ancient Egypt. The temple of Seti is known for its well-preserved carvings, including the Abydos King List, and its unique architectural elements.

Scenic framing of a serene coastal sunset with warm lights illuminating the sky and a calm sea with gentle waves.

A prominent island with mountainous terrain rises from the horizon under a sky filled with scattered clouds.

In the foreground a beach setting on either side of the image is framing the view.

The calm water and distant island represent a desire for peace and retreat.

The Great Hypostyle Hall of Karnak viewed from a low angle looking upwards. Towering, weathered sandstone columns, adorned with intricate hieroglyphic carvings, dominate the scene, stretching towards a bright blue sky.

The sunlight filters through the open spaces between the massive columns, illuminating the ancient stone and highlighting the details of the carvings. The perspective emphasizes the immense scale and architectural prowess of the ancient Egyptians.

The dominant feature is the colossal columns, characteristic of ancient Egyptian temple architecture, particularly the Great Hypostyle Hall at Karnak. The columns are adorned with detailed hieroglyphs, providing insights into ancient Egyptian beliefs, history, and rituals.

The low-angle shot emphasizes the immense scale of the columns and the overall structure, conveying a sense of awe and the monumental achievements of ancient Egyptian builders. The bright sky visible through the gaps in the ceiling highlights the open-air nature of parts of the temple complex.

The natural sunlight streaming into the hall creates dramatic contrasts of light and shadow, enhancing the texture of the stone and the depth of the carvings, contributing to the ancient and sacred atmosphere of the site.

Low angle perspective looking upwards along the wall and towards the ceiling, emphasizing the grandeur and height of the reliefs and incised hieroglyphs carved into the stone walls.

Above the walls, a vibrant blue ceiling with horizontal bands, represent a starry blue sky. The blue paint shows signs of age and wear. The vibrant 'Egyptian blue', the first synthetic pigment created by humans symbolized the sky and the primordial waters of creation, crucial elements in Egyptian cosmology. .

This is the third image of my Munich Underground Fine Art Series.

This time, I wanted to show how fascinating metal can be — how it shines, reflects, and becomes almost alive when light and geometry merge.

Here, architecture turns into art. Not through motion or chaos, but through pure stillness, precision, and structure.

Every line, every surface follows a rhythm — strict, perfect, almost futuristic.

That’s why there are no trains, no light trails, no movement.

Any motion would destroy the balance.

This photograph lives from its silent perfection — from clean geometry, symmetrical harmony, and the rare stillness that only exists when the space is completely empty.

The second essential element is perspective.

An ultra-wide lens always needs a foreground to create depth.

But here, there’s no column, no lamp, no anchor point.

So the trick was to bring the camera extremely close to the ground — letting the floor itself become the foreground.

Suddenly, the ultra-wide lens does exactly what it’s meant to do: it creates immense spatial depth, pulling the viewer right into the scene.

That’s the secret of Photo No. 3 — pure geometry, absolute control, and the moment when architecture becomes art.

Artistic low-angle framing of a bronze statue of a warrior, viewed from behind, facing two prominent minarets.

The figure of the historical warrior is clad in armor, chainmail and wears a helmet.

A shield is visible on the left side of the statue.

In the background, two tall, ornate minarets rise towards a clear sky.

The composition places the warrior statue prominently in the foreground, creating a sense of depth and scale against the towering minarets in the background. The low-angle shot emphasizes the grandeur of both the statue and the architectural elements.

The natural sunset lighting creates a warm glow on the statue and the minarets.

Scenic framing of an ancient Egyptian architecture featuring large, inscribed columns and walls adorned with hieroglyphs and carvings.

A beam of natural sun light illuminates a part of the hall, emphasizing the ancient stonework textures and the depth of the structure creating a sense of grandeur perspective within the temple's halls.

A striking low-angle shot, emphasizing the height and grandeur of the ancient structures against the vast blue sky.

The towering obelisk on the right and the colossal statue fragment on the left create a strong diagonal line, drawing the eye upwards and adding depth to the scene. The framing by the surrounding stone structures further enhances the sense of scale and enclosure. The large weathered stone structures on the left, possibly parts of colossal statues or temple pylons, frame the scene. These ruins hint at the grand scale of the ancient temple complex and the artistry of the period.

The bright overhead sunlight rays create harsh shadows and highlights, visibly flaring from the top center, indicating a direct light source and adding a dramatic effect to the sky. This strong contrast accentuates the textures of the ancient stone.

The obelisk symbolized a connection between the earthly and divine realms.

The composition highlights the monumental scale and enduring presence of these ancient artifacts.

Just a little higher viewpoint

can give the beautiful perspective of a bird's eye view. Like a bird flying up above and looking down on the scene.

A perfect timing and ideal weather for watersports activities such as paddling and the adventurous parasailing umbrella.

Sunlight casting distinct shadows onto a gravel surface, displaying various symbols resembling ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs.

A unique art form created by arranging pebbles or gravel to cast shadows that spell out words or create images. This technique utilizes sunlight to project the desired shapes and can be a creative way to leave messages or create temporary art installations.

The interplay of light and shadow, specifically how sunlight creates patterns on the ground. The shadows are derived from a source above, with cutouts, allowing light to pass through in specific shapes.

The gravel surface provides a textured backdrop, enhancing the visual contrast between the illuminated areas and the dark shadows. The small stones create a sense of depth and unevenness.

Taken from a slightly elevated perspective, looking down at the ground, capturing a wide array of these illuminated patterns across the frame.

Scenic framing of a lush green field bathed in the warm light of a sunrise.

At the end of a path the central sunlight source creates a strong silhouette effect on the surrounding trees and foliage, emphasizing the contrast between light and shadow.

The foreground is dominated by low-lying green plants and young crops leading towards the brighter horizon.

Magnificent hypostyle hall

Magnificent view inside the great hypostyle hall of the Hathor temple in Dendera elaborately decorated and supported by 24 Hathoric sistrum columns and gorgeous wall carvings.

Renowned for its beautifully decorated ceilings, featuring intricate reliefs and astronomical depictions.

Framing of a mysterious gate decorated with geometric patterns.

Gates can mean different things depending on how you look at them.

A gate can represent a threshold or a boundary between two states of being or two different worlds.

Beyond architectural aspect; doors, gates, arches all represent transitioning from one place to another.

A glimpse into the stairwell of Cologne’s Chlodwigplatz subway station: vertical neon tubes along the railings create striking lines and infuse the black-and-white image with a futuristic atmosphere. Architecture, light, and perspective merge into a unique snapshot from the heart of the city.

through the lens, this moment captures the essence of solitude in an urban jungle. the stark contrast of the monochrome palette mirrors the sharp lines of the architecture, as if the city itself is drawing a path to nowhere. the two figures, barely more than silhouettes, seem to be mere echoes of each other, drifting apart yet connected by the reflection on the glass. there’s a sense of distance, both physical and emotional, as they tread towards the vanishing point, each carrying the weight of their journeys. this bridge over landsberger straße in münchen, typically bustling with life, now becomes a stage for introspection—a quiet pause amidst the city’s relentless pace.

As seen at Ferragamo Museum in Florence.

a single figure walks the tiled corridor of steel and glass, framed by the long breath of waiting trains. somewhere in the vanishing point ahead, a journey begins—or ends. in the echo of footfalls and symmetry, the architecture of transit becomes a cathedral of stillness.

A striking example of modern design, this image showcases a long, covered walkway lined with bold yellow columns and a checkered tile floor. The strong perspective draws the viewer’s eye toward the horizon, where distant figures add scale and movement to the scene. Framed by a vivid blue sky and lush greenery, the composition blends architectural rhythm with natural serenity—an inviting space for both reflection and exploration.

I'm fascinated by how the lines of the track lead the eye directly to the majestic steam engine far down the line. It's a powerful visual reminder of the convergence of engineering and history. As the modern railway celebrates its 200th anniversary this year (discounting the earlier horse-drawn versions), it’s special to see this specific line and station, which has stood here since 1863.

Looking up with a different angle and perspective, it looks like a surrealist blue sky of a futuristic world. Shot from Soho square Sharm El Sheikh.

from above, they become ants in a world they did not design, their orange vests small flames against concrete certainty. yellow cables snake through shadows like veins of possibility, connecting what was to what will be. in this geometry of progress, human hands still matter most. we build cathedrals from steel and glass, but it is the workers who breathe life into our dreams. every structure is a prayer written in sweat and precision.

Joining the past and the present with the passion of photography.

A new adventure is calling and I must go.

A striking vertical shot looking out from a narrow crevice between two large, textured rock formations, with a focus on the interplay of light, shadow, and scale.

The rocks, which are in shadow, frame a bright, sunlit view. A clear blue sky is visible at the top, where a bird is flying high in the sky adding a dynamic element and further emphasizing the immense scale of the rock formations.

The strong backlight from the sun creates a high-contrast scene with deep shadows on the foreground rocks and a bright, almost washed-out.

The two large rock formations on the left and right act as natural frames, drawing the viewer's eye toward the bright opening in the center. This creates a sense of depth and scale, making the passage feel monumental.

The intense brightness of the sky and the water in the distance creates a sense of openness beyond the confined space of the gorge.

The combination of the confined space, the dramatic lighting, and the vast, bright opening suggests a mood of discovery or a journey from darkness into light. The photograph evokes a feeling of being small in the face of nature's grandeur.

“An ant's eye view

From the low perspective, the ground and the horizon either intersect or sandwich the subject material, creating emphasis and guiding the eye around the image. Light and time are primary materials of photography. Strange images frozen in time and space would give time to think about metaphysical ideas.
