Except for the island, all of the photo’s elements are moving in different directions

Looking out towards the sky framing a clear view of the blue sky and some clouds beyond.

The scene is dominated by strong contrasts between the shadowed interior and the brilliant light emanating from the doorway highlighting the texture of the stone.

Looking up can be a way to clear one's mind and find new ideas or perspectives, a metaphor for seeking inspiration.

Shot from the interior doorway of Abydos temple, one of the most sacred sites in ancient Egypt. The temple of Seti is known for its well-preserved carvings, including the Abydos King List, and its unique architectural elements.

Scenic framing of a serene coastal sunset with warm lights illuminating the sky and a calm sea with gentle waves.

A prominent island with mountainous terrain rises from the horizon under a sky filled with scattered clouds.

In the foreground a beach setting on either side of the image is framing the view.

The calm water and distant island represent a desire for peace and retreat.

Watching sunrise painting the sky in beautiful hues creating a breathtaking backdrop, from a long wooden pier stretching out over the tranquil waters.

A pier can be seen as a threshold between the known and the unknown or a place of reflection and contemplation where we can leave behind the past and embark on a new adventure.

Just as the earth continues beyond what you can see, there is always an unexplored “new land” within. Beyond what is immediately visible, think about it this way.

Low angle perspective looking upwards along the wall and towards the ceiling, emphasizing the grandeur and height of the reliefs and incised hieroglyphs carved into the stone walls.

Above the walls, a vibrant blue ceiling with horizontal bands, represent a starry blue sky. The blue paint shows signs of age and wear. The vibrant 'Egyptian blue', the first synthetic pigment created by humans symbolized the sky and the primordial waters of creation, crucial elements in Egyptian cosmology. .

A creative vignetting touch intentionally added to evoke a sense of nostalgia.

The term comes from the French word 'vignette,' which originally referred to a small, decorative design or drawing on a book page.

May we all be of good hope!

Artistic low-angle framing of a bronze statue of a warrior, viewed from behind, facing two prominent minarets.

The figure of the historical warrior is clad in armor, chainmail and wears a helmet.

A shield is visible on the left side of the statue.

In the background, two tall, ornate minarets rise towards a clear sky.

The composition places the warrior statue prominently in the foreground, creating a sense of depth and scale against the towering minarets in the background. The low-angle shot emphasizes the grandeur of both the statue and the architectural elements.

The natural sunset lighting creates a warm glow on the statue and the minarets.

can give the beautiful perspective of a bird's eye view. Like a bird flying up above and looking down on the scene.

Scenic framing of a lush green field bathed in the warm light of a sunrise.

At the end of a path the central sunlight source creates a strong silhouette effect on the surrounding trees and foliage, emphasizing the contrast between light and shadow.

The foreground is dominated by low-lying green plants and young crops leading towards the brighter horizon.

Framing of a mysterious gate decorated with geometric patterns.

Gates can mean different things depending on how you look at them.

A gate can represent a threshold or a boundary between two states of being or two different worlds.

Beyond architectural aspect; doors, gates, arches all represent transitioning from one place to another.

A glimpse into the stairwell of Cologne’s Chlodwigplatz subway station: vertical neon tubes along the railings create striking lines and infuse the black-and-white image with a futuristic atmosphere. Architecture, light, and perspective merge into a unique snapshot from the heart of the city.

through the lens, this moment captures the essence of solitude in an urban jungle. the stark contrast of the monochrome palette mirrors the sharp lines of the architecture, as if the city itself is drawing a path to nowhere. the two figures, barely more than silhouettes, seem to be mere echoes of each other, drifting apart yet connected by the reflection on the glass. there’s a sense of distance, both physical and emotional, as they tread towards the vanishing point, each carrying the weight of their journeys. this bridge over landsberger straße in münchen, typically bustling with life, now becomes a stage for introspection—a quiet pause amidst the city’s relentless pace.

a single figure walks the tiled corridor of steel and glass, framed by the long breath of waiting trains. somewhere in the vanishing point ahead, a journey begins—or ends. in the echo of footfalls and symmetry, the architecture of transit becomes a cathedral of stillness.

from above, they become ants in a world they did not design, their orange vests small flames against concrete certainty. yellow cables snake through shadows like veins of possibility, connecting what was to what will be. in this geometry of progress, human hands still matter most. we build cathedrals from steel and glass, but it is the workers who breathe life into our dreams. every structure is a prayer written in sweat and precision.

“An ant's eye view

From the low perspective, the ground and the horizon either intersect or sandwich the subject material, creating emphasis and guiding the eye around the image. Light and time are primary materials of photography. Strange images frozen in time and space would give time to think about metaphysical ideas.

This is my new toy! With this, we also have a window panel that will go inside the garage you see behind the seats. We are setting up the seats and window panel like you would see them when onboard the airplane. These came out of a Pan Am 727 that is being scrapped at Smyrna Airport. Oh yeah, that is a circa: August 1991 Pan Am "Clipper Magazine" you see there too. Found in the back pocket of one of the seats.

I do need to clean them some more. Like shampoo the seats and clean the covers. I also want to make sure everything is still tight and all. Everything is still there that should be and it all still works like new. Some more work to do, but hey not bad considering they are over 13 years old and have been sitting inside the airplane for who knows how long.

Here is the airplane they came from: www.flickr.com/photos/perspectivephotography/2605553081/

Eddie, remember these???
