This sculpture was based on the roots of a tree, reflecting its core strength but delicacy at the periphery, which is where it encounters other elements. Copper, in comparison to other metals is weak and pliable, but its high conductivity suggests life and energy. Together I hope they suggest the vulnerable and emotive nature of a relationship. Made on 3rd January 2015.
