Perhaps one morning walking in dry glassy air,

I will turn, I will see the miracle complete:

nothingness at my shoulder, the void behind,

me with a drunkard’s terror.

Then, as on a screen, trees houses hills

will advance swiftly in familiar illusion,

But it will be too late . . .

Perhaps the most delicate and beautiful of our tit family.

I keep saying it but please do stay safe and keep well.

Perhaps not as impressive as the ice fall's at LaSalle or Tonti Canyons, but still cool to see, was this ice fall at Owl Canyon. Three exposure HDR processed with Nik HDR Efex Pro 2

it but the crop....coming home from work the rainbow was exquisite, so I waited until one of the birds in the field flew up high enough that I could catch it with the rainbow...somehow it seems to depict hope~~maybe that's what we all need these days~~

Perhaps I am a bear, or some hibernating animal underneath, for the instinct to be half asleep all winter is so strong in me. ~ Anne Morrow Lindbergh

This is actually a color photo, not black and white .... the buildings are gray and white, so combined with the fog and snow, it appears to be b/w. Not a whole lot of color going on this time of year. I'm going to suggest that they paint their barn red for next winter lol ....

Perhaps one day this White-breasted Nuthatch will be recaptured and his band information may contribute to our knowledge of the movements of members of his species.

Perhaps a planet suitable for advocates of a "flat earth" where they could live on triangular continents.

My bent reflecting cards worked in my favour in this image, the ring light making interesting effects on the background.

Perhaps one of Germanys most famous statues stands on guard at the convergence of the mighty Mosel and Rhein rivers the Deutsches Eck (German Corner).

The Statue is a typical Prussian martial style equestrian statue of William I, the first German Emperor it was created in 1897 in gratitude after his death for being the Father of the modern Empire and the unification of Germany.

During WWII it was mistakenly destroyed by artillery when they mistook it for enemy troops and it remained just a plinth until 2 September 1993 when sculptor Raymond Kittl finished producing an improved replica created from bronze plates this time around instead of copper.

I took this with my D750 and Tamron SP 24-70mm 2.8 G2 Lens processed in LR, PS luminosity masks and DXO Nik

Disclaimer: Not trying to be realistic in my editing there is enough realism in the world, my style is a mix of painterly and romanticism as well as a work in progress.

Perhaps it was the awe of a majestic sunrise that bought this couple to their feet.

As they admired the sunrise surfers at the nearby Killick Beach were also admiring the sunrise from water level as they either paddled or straddled their boards on the calm waters.

Perhaps I ma looking forward to some wintry weather. This photo goes back to 2010 and depicts a couple walking;kiong down Almshouse Lane in Newmillerdam after a decent snowfall.

This isn't one of my photos and I believe it was taken by Dad.

Perhaps the most Epicurean of all of the 'warm water forms' I have witnessed. A space viable for a number of prosaic functions, but apt for washing, health and beauty - perhaps the perfect theatre and complement for people who have exchanged valuable gods for the much sought-after amber of later prehistory, with amber rich sites around Urizaharra and Yurdinas kilometres away into a higher rugged plateau. Keeping traders and visitors in general away from amber quarries and mines, a pragmatic and logical cultural decision. Skeletons with fatal arrow wounds found near to the site may illustrate the different rules for the upland and lowland terranes, with the river Ebro 'highway' probably an open land of protocols, rules and assurances just kilometres from this potential site of pleasure, contact, exchange and goodwill.

your being, your coming

suddenly, inspiringly, to know my life, and it follows that I am, because you are:

it follows from ‘you are’, that I am, and we:

and, because of love, you will, I will,

We will, come to be.

Perhaps my favorite line in Montana is the BNSF Laurel Sub between its namesake and Great Falls. While not running through the "mountains" so to speak there are 5 tunnels on the line. And since it runs through some wide fertile valleys there are numerous grain elevators both old and new. In addition a few steel trestles provide nice photos as well. Here the Great Falls based "Lost Local" is making its usual once a week run toward Moccasin. They are exiting the 1586-foot Surprise Creek Tunnel.

Perhaps it's a time for a change! and maybe it's the season that l feel to share some family members! This photo goes back some years, but this is the one l favour Most!

Perhaps the most photographed tree in New Zealand, "The Wanaka Willow" stands quietly silhouetted against the evening sky that has only a touch of color from the setting sun's last rays on a small cloud formation over the mountains in the far distance.

Perhaps it's just me but the weather has been a bit grim here on the UK’s south coast in recent weeks. Even our central heating woke itself up from deep hibernation this week and burst into life of its own accord... in the middle of August for goodness sake!

The forecasted promise of a record breaking summer has long since evaporated, and yet again, our peak summer period has turned into somewhat of a damp squib.

Perhaps an opportune moment then to post a colourful picture from Hampshire’s Meon Valley from back in the spring when we were still looking forward to a glorious summer. This image features the same lone tree that appeared in a previous posting but from a mile or so further down the road, and at 90 degrees to the other.

Thanks as always for your interest and support.

Well, perhaps... In 1732 great Carolus Linnaeus made visits to Lapland and there collected many plants that he later described. One of these is this Bog Rosemary, a Heather kind with that wonderful scientific designation 'Andromeda'. Why did Linnaeus use that name? The story about her in Greek mythology is complicated but here it will suffice to say that beautiful Andromeda was chained to a rock as a sacrificial offering; her feet were washed by the seas. So also our Rosemary; the flowers rise high above the bog around their hilltop and its roots are wet in the marsh.

These plants are quite lowly and it's hard to see 'inside'. Well, perhaps Linnaeus crouching to examine the roots looked up and saw the opened flowers. Such a view may have been the one in the main photo. The inset shows the flowers when you pass by.
