All the Ruby Wilder photos were shot with my Sony a57, instead of my new a7ii. Why? Because the shutter noise on the a57 is almost silent, whereas the a7ii is quite noisy. When shooting a theater performance, I try my best to be silent and practically invisible to the audiences and the actors.
Juha from Finland sent us pictures of his gently modified 500,which he says he assembled from bits and bobs.

Alex and I went to UFest in the summer. I enjoyed checking out the vendors and bought a beautiful pair of earrings. Alex and I tried out our new two-person folding chair (very comfortable!) and watched the Ukrainian music and dance performances!

Sorry... I cropped the photo 'coz there was this stupid man beside me who always bumps his elbow to my camera and sometimes my head. So I bumped back and looked at him fiercely... He's about twice my age but we went away...

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the annual outdoor Battery Dance Festival went virtual this year, like so many other performances.
So there was no live festival and most of the international dance companies that participated did so via video.
But NYC let the Festival film a handful of the performers live, albeit in the very early morning, as a way to discourage curious onlookers. These are some of the companies that participated; but this necessarily is a very small sampling.

Brass Balls Bobbers' parties are always kick ass... Jasmine Cain performed, Midget standup, Beer and Burgers, Great bikes... What more can you want?
