The idea being that if Throbbing Gristle can just make it up as they go along, then so can we, except it didn't quite work out that way due to a lack of preparation and great quantities of booze. Visual effects were later added to the recording in an effort to render it more interesting, but as they say, you can't polish a turd, and particularly not if you're attempting to polish it with wee.

The lower level of the ballroom (in progress) is used as a performance space and features sculpted walls, stairs, mosaics, and will eventually include an underwater observation window to the pond that will be installed outside.

Sisters Hope at the Roskilde festival 2014
Sisters Hope was one of four international performance groups (Sisters Hope (DK), Savage Amusement (AUS/DE), Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen (DK) and Katalin Halasz (UK)) represented at the Roskilde festival 2014.
In the tradition of interactive and immersive performance art we explored the nature of the 'sensuous' in the Performance Sense Laboratory. Performers in the shape of Evokers initiated and facilitated the journey of the festival participants, who became Human Research Objects as they entered the Performance Sense Laboratory.

The performances will be followed by the premiere screening of an original collaborative video work called Mem-Bunga (Flowering). The performances also feature a gamelan ensemble directed by Aaron Singer (UCR Gamelan Club). The video work will be shown at the end of the live performance in the Culver Screening Room together with Q&A about the making of TRANSiTORY.
Jessie's favorite TV show right now is DragonTales. It's a very cute show. I like it myself actually. Anyways, I found out several weeks ago that DragonTales Live was coming to our area. I just had to get tickets. I knew Jessie would love it. So I bought 3 tickets, and we would buy a ticket for Sydney to have her sit on Jane's lap when we got to the event.
Well the show was this past Saturday. Of course we had no idea at the time that Sydney would get sick and wind up in the hospital. As I was at home taking care of Jessie while Jane was at the hospital with Sydney, I was contemplating not going to the show. But the tickets were non-refundable. And I had paid a little extra to get good seats(10th row back). And with Jane's urging, we went on our own....just the two of us.
I had been hyping up the event to Jessie for weeks. So on the morning of, she was pretty excited. The drive out to Riverside, where the even was held, was not too bad. Only took us 30 minutes. When we got there, we found our seats. And when the show started, I could see the look of excitement on Jessie's face. That was worth the price of admission right there. Thoughout the show, Jessie kept rambling on about how much she likes the show. Half way through the show, they had an intermission. Once that started, Jessie said to me, "But Daddy, I don't want to go home. I want to watch more." :) She didn't realize we were only half way through.
Anyways, it was a really cute and fun show. The plotline was fun. The characters and costumes were great. And the sets were just amazing. I'm really glad we decided to go. Jessie had a blast.
Upcoming shows that we might take her to include Sesame Street Live and Cinderalla Live.
Being There
We are surrounded by various elements. sightseeing with our companion. Immediately we gaze at textures of the platform's ledge. It acts as a canvas for the art of previous travelers. The view point draws us across the rippling water to the urbanscape.
