The end result of a mad dash across the early morning flat waters for this highly efficient Tricolored Heron.

Nobody's perfect.

But have you noticed some people are so obsessed they look for perfection in everything? Maybe we all have a lil' bit of crazy that craves the immaculate. I, myself, have had a nervous fit over odd numbers, things in the wrong position, situations that don't fit in perfect timing, and even broken families used to bug me (though I grew up in one). But one thing I learned early in life is... you can't expect people to be perfect. People will always hurt and disappoint you. It's up to you to figure out what's worth putting up with. I've wasted a lot of time thinking I could be a perfect person for those willing to love me. But perfection doesn't exist. There's always something in me that's going to upset someone, or make people yell at me.

This realization sank in hard, and made me retreat from everything. I needed a break from sl, flickr and all social networking. But I'm back! \o/ Can I promise I'll be around as often as I can? Yeah! :D

However... RL has been demanding my attention more than usual. I took this break as an opportunity to visit the doctor's, have myself tested and checked out. Turns out things aren't as good as I thought. I need to go through a biopsy. *shrugs* Who knows what's coming from those results? So.. let's make the most of our time together, shall we?

If you live in a place that has a dramatic changing of the seasons, then you know that there is a fairly narrow window of peak foliage. Enough trees have turned colors but haven't yet started dropping leaves en masse. I think I caught that moment here. This image has had very little processing and simply reflects the fantastic beauty of autumn in Ontario, Canada. I'm in love...this is autumn perfection! From my first trip to Hawai'i in March of 2023. While going through some of these images which I'm collecting for my upcoming Slideshow Presentation at our mobile home park called "Tropical Paradise", EVEN though I'm also preparing my itinerary for my trip to Ireland, I'm missing Hawai'i, and can't wait to get back there. (Probably in February or March of 2026)

Donkey Beach is on the island of Kaua'i, and after you park on the road, you walk down to the ocean through a canopy tunnel of trees and bushes, really rather distinct and memorable.

And perfect.

Another image from the series of abstract images taken in White Sand National Park. At a first glance, this might look like an aerial shot of river but in reality this was actually a small patch of sand on a sand dune slope. The morning light accentuates the contrast and the absolute perfect symmetry here really drew my attention when I was in the field.

This is how I see the creative process with my art, not that I aspire to perfection, rather I seek resolution, or at least sufficient resolution to allow me to move on to the next work!.

One of the perfect blossoms in the bunch. MANY THANKS FOR YOUR VIEWS, COMMENTS, FAVES AND INVITES! ♥️
