Looks like the subway, seems like the subway but...what do I know, maybe it's not the subway.

I love how the contrast colours came out in this one. From the deep purples and blues, to the browns in the background -- it all compliments each other.

For edwin Land, the goal was more than gadgets, more than cameras and film, more than just an artistic medium. Polaroid represented a democratic vision, and this was the impetus for the countless pieces of equipment created. In December 1957, Polaroid researchers took their first official colour pictures. Land shared the results with colleagues at Kodak who agreed to collaborate with Polaroid to help bring the film to market. Taking 15 years and the testing of 5,000 compounds to create, Polaroid's new Polacolor film was a marvel of modern chemistry. When Polacolor was first introduced in February 1963, the public response was so overwhelming that it took Polaroid almost five months to supply the demand.

That same year, Polaroid introduced its first pack film (or peel-apart film) cameras, beginning with the famous Model 100. Not surprisingly, 1964 was the year that the company made more money on film than on camera sales. That switch meant Polaroid could now consider selling inexpensive cameras, competing with Kodak for the low end of the market. The Model 20 Swinger debuted in 1965, proving widly popular with teens and young adults and extending instant photography into mass consciousness. Thanks to exceptional marketing campaigns, the company estimated that at least half of American households acquired a Polaroid in the 1960s.

As a 54 year old "Creative", I am quite amazed at how long it takes the "obvious" to impact my consciousness. All these dear friends on LinkedIn have taken the trouble to endorse me for these skills. Don't you think it would be a great idea to play to these strengths? Ha ha, only realised that yesterday! Doh!
