The Clip Note is designed to be clipped to gifts, bags, flowers, or anything else that you can think of clipping it to. The card has a heart shaped clip section, similar to a bread tag/clip, that you use to clip to a variety of things. One of the best ways to use the card is by clipping the card to a ribbon. For example, you can clip the card to a bottle of wine by placing a nice ribbon around the neck of the bottle - it will not only add a special touch to your gift but it will also make it look beautiful. The Clip Note can be used as a gift tag and card combined.

The Clip Note is perfect when you want to write a short message as the card measures 4.1"x3.3"or 10.5x8.7cm (so they are perfect for just a quick note). These cards can be used for all occasions – birthdays, Mother’s day, Valentine’s Day, anniversaries and many more.

Illustrations are digitally reproduced from original pen drawing. This card has been printed on 400gsm paper and it has a smooth surface.

All cards are packaged in a plastic wrapper for protection. All cards are shipped in a regular envelope with a cardboard backing to help ensure that no bending or folding takes place.

The Clip Note has the Venerate logo printed on the back.

I've been away from animation for a while, due to personal and technical issues (my old computer died).

While I'm trying to resume my activity, during these weeks I've continued exploring what I can be able to draw. This time I've opted for a high contrast portrait.

Jarl Borg is one of the villains of the Vikings series to whom I have a lot of respect, faithful to his values, this guy deserved to enter the Valhalla.

Based on a beautiful photograph with very kind permission from David Chapman www.davidchapman.org.uk

When I was courting my wife back in '83, I did this portrait of her in hopes of convincing her of the depth of my feelings.

I thought her father would appreciate how well I crafted the portrait, but I think he saw right through to my true intentions. But hey, I did end up marrying her! So my intentions were honorable. :-)

Seen at the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art, here in Marietta, Georgia. It is on exhibit at the museum’s current juried survey exhibition, Metro Montage. Note: I added the border. This photo has some reflections as the drawing is under glass.

By the ferry stop in the fading light. Looking towards Patterdale. 12 February 2012.

Over 13 days, I worked on a drawing. I did this because I hadn't drawn much with my hands in a while--I missed that. At the end of each session I scanned the results and reflected on the process.

This was day 06.

COMMITMENT

Eventually you must commit to a main structure if you want to finish your drawing. This requires balancing your hunger for perfection with the need for completion. Accepting the structure of the drawing as set (however imperfect it may be now) will allow you to move forward. The composition is fixed and now you may set your sights on the details.

ONTO THE DETAILS

If you have been struggling, adding details can be daunting--every next step will feel like a misstep. Wrong piling on top of more wrong...

Make note and move onto the next detail. If this hurts too much, put the drawing down and take a walk. But commit to coming back. If you must, add this time to your schedule so that it is in the back of your mind.

Returning, or adding other details, or watching for how the details fit with each other may allow you to see what is off about the drawing more clearly than before.

Once your confidence comes back--your confidence is like a tide, rising and receding--your focus will become laser-tight. Your excitement will return. You will make mistakes along the way. That’s OK. Make note and correct what you can. Building momentum and laying down lines are more important right now.

Make peace with what confuses you.

Don’t be afraid to ask, “why?”

Ask another person.
