The Clip Card is designed to be clipped to gifts, bags, flowers, or anything else that you can think of clipping it to. The card has a heart shaped clip section, similar to a bread tag/clip, that you use to clip to a variety of things. One of the best ways to use the card is by clipping the card to a ribbon. For example, you can clip the card to a bottle of wine by placing a nice ribbon around the neck of the bottle - it will not only add a special touch to your gift but it will also make it look beautiful. The Clip Card can be used as a gift tag and card combined.
The Clip Card is perfect when you want to write a short message as the card measures 2.6"x2.6"or 7x7cm (so they are perfect for just a quick note). These cards can be used for all occasions – birthdays, Mother’s day, Valentine’s Day, anniversaries and many more.
Illustrations are digitally reproduced from original pen drawing. This card has been printed on 400gsm paper and it has a smooth surface.
All cards are packaged in a plastic wrapper for protection. All cards are shipped in a regular envelope with a cardboard backing to help ensure that no bending or folding takes place.
The Clip Note has the Venerate logo printed on the back.

Over 13 days, I worked on a drawing. I did this because I hadn't drawn much with my hands in a while--I missed that. At the end of each session I scanned the results and reflected on the process.
This is DAY 05.
ASK YOURSELF, “WHAT IS MY GOAL FOR THIS DRAWING?”
As you constantly shine the light of awareness on your perception biases and drawing habits, regain your clarity and focus by asking yourself, “What do I want to accomplish with this drawing?”
What do you want this drawing to be?
The drawing process is full of decisions. If you wish to capture an object from reality rather than create one from your imagination, you must decide how much you are dedicated to the complete reproduction of your subject.
YOUR REPRODUCTION WILL NEVER BE PERFECT
Be careful. This is nuanced. A perfect reproduction is impossible--and less interesting. Even a photograph or a photocopy of a photograph is not a perfect reproduction. They are all translations.
Photo realism can be your goal--and it is a beautiful goal to aspire to--where you will learn an incredible amount about shapes, value, light and yourself. But never forget that your reproduction will never, ever be perfect. (Unless you’ve attained enlightenment and realize that you ARE the subject / the universe / God).
After working and reworking, the drawing will begin to stand on its own.
Learn to balance the drawing’s independence with what the subject is trying to teach you about reality. Be aware when you are focusing on your drawing alone and have stopped listening to the subject’s guidance. Whatever you decide is not wrong; only your choice. This is why you need a goal, and you need to reconnect with it throughout the evolution of the drawing.

I figured out after recording that the drawing was out of focus, so here is just a short time lapse of the first steps to show how I start my drawings.

This is a photo of a commissioned portrait of brothers who share their love of bowhunting with their father, Tim. The mother and the boys commissioned me to do this portrait for their father. I didn't want the clothing, or the hunting equipmen to take away from the boys, so I simply played down the gear, and let the emphasis be on the faces.
I’ll be finishing this one up with watercolors or colored pencils, maybe both, in the next few days. So far it’s been a lot of fun to do. This image was cropped from the original 8 x 10 inch page.
