Coming around the ottoman.

I do notice the less dynamic range on this micro 4/3rds camera as opposed to the APS-C sensors that I am used to using. Not sure that I like that.

I love this kid. :)

This is for Mr. Sudock:

1. I took this photo because my little friend here was enjoying her Mickey cookie just way too much and was looking too cute to not take a picture.

2. This little girl is my best three-year-old friend named Morgan.

3. This was taken at the Pacific Wharf area of Disney California Adventure.

4. This image means pure happiness to me. Having grown up in Southern California and having gone to Disneyland too many times to count, now as an adult, it's easy to forget just truly how magical Disney is as a child. I had the privilege of going to Disneyland and California Adventure with Morgan and her family over a month ago. Having the opportunity to experience Disney through the eyes of a child was such an awesome experience. Not only was I looking at the amazing mechanical and technological aspects of rides such as the new Little Mermaid ride, but I found myself singing along and dancing to "Under the Sea" when I noticed Morgan doing it herself right next to me in our clam-mobile. As she waved goodbye to Ariel and Prince Eric at the end of our ride, I realized just how magical it must have been for Morgan, to see her favorite princess there, waving back at her. Disney through the eyes of a child is something that everyone should experience. It truly adds to the magic. :)

My great niece can't resist mugging it up whenever a camera is pointed her direction....

Taken indoors at The Exploratorium Museum with my f1.4 50mm lens, no flash - love that lens !

Another installment from my sister's photo shoot.

A woman blasts Devo's "Peek-a-Boo!" from her car at the corner of Nassau and Witherspoon Streets, which is a pretty unusual (and great) song to blast.

These are the buildings the inhabitants of Amsterdam don't see or look at anymore. Only recently has this building from retailstore Peek & Cloppenburg made it onto the recognized monuments list.

Peek & Cloppenburg has been at this location since it built it in 1917. Designed by Anton J. Joling it has been known as the 'Het Broekenpaleis' (the pants palace) as the two founders Johann Theodor Peek and Heinrich Anton Adolph Cloppenburg have been selling cloth and garments since 1869.

The official address is Dam 5.

It's the kind of building you walk past and don't pay any attention to, but it's a huge building with some nice ornaments. Crazy tidbit. P&C had a turnover of a million guilders in 1890 already!

You couldn't tell, but I spent a lot of time in Photoshop getting this image right. Best fix is finding the absolute black and white points with the Threshold tool.

Slide the Threshold tool to the left and right and place markers at the darkest and lightest spots and then colorcorrect the image with levels and selecting the black and white points you just found with the Threshold tools to mark the right exposure for the whites and blacks.

The RMC Tokina 24mm is a lens from the 80's and it's kind enough to me for these kinds of photos. Taken at F/8 with cloudy whitebalance setting.

At Lizard Lounge with Elizabeth. What a cool shop. I set my camera in there to get my SLR 680 out, decided this reminded me of Drew Barrymore with all the toys in E.T., shot this Polaroid and walked away. Minutes later, I realized I left my Banner sitting there. I'm so glad I didn't leave without it!

Daily challenge for 31st May.

Taken at Chessington World of Adventures with Tom :)

Ok please ignore the date it was taken on the side :/ I don't know what has happened all other photos before this have had the right date. So please excuse my camera being retard :/ or may be my laptop.

Playing peek-a-boo with a male cardinal. He was so funny. One minute I wouldn't see him at all, and then he would pick his head up and peek at me through the underbrush.

Not my best photo (a bit noisy if viewed large) - but it was too darn cute not to share :o)

As always Crits/Comments welcomed. Please let me know your opinions.

Pin it, share it, post it, like it, favorite it, pass it on.

Took a trip to Mount Soledad hoping to get some nice black and white shots. To my disappointment, the cross is not lit up at night. Nonetheless, I was able to capture some nice shots. As I scanned Flickr, I realized there arent that many cool shots of the cross on Soledad. Might have to venture this way again and spend some more time here.

224/365 Danbo is playing peek-a-book with me while I'm cleaning the yard.. Can you find him?

Family weekend in Horn Lake with Mamma and Jill

I recently discovered Fat Quarterly, an e-zine & I love it! This pattern is called Who's Peeking by Brioni Greenberg. It's for a toddler who loves trucks so I used Moda's Ten Little Things. I still have to figure out how I want to quilt it. I can't wait to make another using the same pattern.

It seems as though Sienna (21 months) is playing peek-a-boo. But really, she was making silly faces at me (her Aunt) and her Dad. I was snapping pics of her silly faces, when she decided to take a moment to refresh herself for a new face.
