While the dailyshoot assignment is familiar - patterns are an art basic and when asked again and again to look for it to make a photo your eye starts to look at things differently.
Looking for some new inspiration, but not ready to revolt completely because there is always room for improvement, growth and new ways of looking at things.
Two of my favorite things.
I wish the dress actually fit... Forever 21 mostly makes clothes for the boobless :( And so the chest fits but the ribcage is too big.
مسجد مریم زمانی لاهور - Mosque of Mariyam Zamani Begum also known as Begum Shahi Mosque is a mosque situated Walled City of Lahore, Masti Gate (originally Masjadi Gate / Darwaza - mis spelled over a period of time), Punjab, Pakistan. It was built by Nuruddin Salim Jahangir, for his mother Mariam-uz-Zamani, and the wife of Mughal Emperor, Akbar.
The mosque stands out for its unique fresco decoration, with which the whole interior surface of the prayer chamber is replete. The paintings are unrivalled for their delicacy, liveliness, perfection of technique, and variety of subject. The endless variety of geometric, floral, and inscriptional designs spread over the interior surface in a subtle colour scheme is not seen elsewhere. The surface has been divided into various panels of different shapes and dimensions according to the space available, and all the soffits, niches, squinches, arches, dome interiors, and apex are covered with these paintings.
This is some of my Pattern Darning for Stitch Exploration in August.
The half circles and crescent I found at

The description of the needlework is at the above URL - scroll to the end of the stitch dictionary and just below this is 'fancy embroidery stitches'
I left them part done so the chain stitches could be seen. I have not used chain stitch for padding before and found it quicker and easier to prepare the shape. Here it is done with wool but I am also trying it on cotton fabric with different threads.
While out recently shooting for a photo theme of patterns, I came across this scene. I always like shooting building and finding that unique angle that explores there lines and intrigues the eye.
A prison like public estate design in Hong Kong. Masses of people moved to Hong Kong due to political turmoil on the mainland in early 50s. This led to a drastic increase in the number of squatters. The government low cost housing was implemented to provide higher residential quality for those family.
