Mushrooms can apparently sprout up in a day or two if the right conditions exist. According to my mom, the naturalist, this one is called a Turkey Tail and is normally not seen in this round form but usually is layered on the edge of a log.

Taken for Shootaboot July challenge - Patterns (and or textures) in nature

im starting to use the open source software processing (processing.org) to create images. its a lot of fun.

 

here i tried to set some more rules for the shapes, i tried imitate old african pattern, but i think the outcome is kinda boring.

Really need to deal with my separation anxiety with my camera - there are times when you really should just put it down.... ;-)
