Who doesn't love to make snow angels? Well I do and I was so happy she took me on the mountain today so that I could make a one...
Interesting clouds during early morning in São Paulo. I don't like very much this yellow cast, but the pattern of clouds is amazing anyway.

Beautiful lichen patterns ... unfortunately many cigarette butts!
As mentioned in the previous photo, the not-quite-triangular shape of the cheese slopes causes some weird geometry. To me, the hexagon on the right seems to be more balanced, with each color being the same size, but really it is the one on the left that has each section equal in size.
In the left hexagon, each section has 12 slopes. In the right hexagon, the blue section has 12 slopes while the orange and green sections have 8 slopes each.
Anyway, I just find it a bit intriguing.
Owens Lake, California
Here's a red, white, and blue (well, if you'll allow orange to pass for red), from Owens Lake earlier this year. I decided to post this on Independence day to commemorate our independence with something other than fireworks. This was taken in the early morning when the alpenglow was reflecting off the mountains behind the lake, and I used a telephoto to foreshorten the layers of color.
Wishing you all a safe and happy holiday and hope you get the perfect fireworks shots to share with us!
This might start out the same as 'Ceramix' but ends up in a distinctly gothic design. Based on a common stone and iron work pattern I've seen in numerous places across Leicester, including a fair few churches.

I love patterns in nature. Ice patterns will NEVER be the same. At my property I have a small stream on one side & a larger stream on the other. I'm never disappointed.
