After scratching my head about smooth continuous bezier curves, I remember to an old blog post from Marius (thanks delicious.com/eskimoblood/bezier)

One Main Place is a mixed-use skyscraper hotel and office building at 1201 Main Street in Dallas, Texas. The shadows remind me of a giant shadow box and form interesting patterns. This is two shots, merged with Photoshop. Minimal enhancements: just to bring out detail of the concrete and enhance contrast to highlight the patterns of the shadows.

The beautiful relief patterns on the back of the stone tablet of the Statute of the Commune of Orvieto in 1209 are actually older and were re-purposed for the Statute inscriptions.

I believe this to be an original design - if only these gems were real!

A fancy Victorian wall tile design, this time by the interior designer Richardson. Looks good as a single motif, but should pattern up nicely.

Don't know what these are called. Again this was shot at Lalbagh flower show, Bangalore, Karnataka, India using my recent purchase Tamron 18 270.

Another model derived from my very versatile Ribbon Kitty v1 base, so the crease patterns are very similar.
