It's supposed to rain off and on all day and BB and Simon were so excited they wanted to go outside and sit by the dog bowl "rain gauge".
Simon appears to be praying to the rain gods who are silent so far and BB, in her stoic way, just waits. Benni photobombed.

Working as a gondolier, must be patient work from time to time. This man is on his way into a service station, but perhaps not the most busy one. Good luck, that they have a rotation system.

Lottie being very patient on our dog walk whilst I tried to catch some shots of the Hayling Island Sailing Club fleet creeping back into the harbour at low tide after their afternoon race in Hayling Bay

I love exploring my garden in Littlestone whilst shooting macro subjects, I find it fascinating at how diverse and beautiful the World of the tiny can be :)

My goal with this series is to explore every day scenes under the cover of darkness. A street corner, a lamp post, a doorway. Big city, small town, urban, rural. Man-made light versus nature’s darkness–––light and shadow interpreting minimalist settings in black and white. To see more in this series, check out Cover Of Darkness.
Early on in the COVER OF NIGHT series, I shot a couple gas stations. They were not initially the type scene I was looking to capture, but when I came across one late at night, bright and isolated in the darkness, it was impossible for me to resist, so I continue to shoot them. I have now shot enough that they have become a series-within-the-series. For a look at them as a collection, check out, Gas Stations
Row upon row of wooden cupboards in an abandoned asylum. Patient medical records were stored here and many were strewn across the floor. The room directly behind me also had these same cupboards within but alas the room had been badly damaged by fire at some point in the past and the cupboards were scorched into doorless black recesses.

So this young squirrel decided to plant himself on a branch until I brought him snacks. Even the most uncomfortable position with a twig up his nose didn't prevent him from patiently waiting for his food. Perhaps he thought I'd feel sorry for him and hurry up with tasty treats.
P.S. Flickr tagged him as a "bird" LOL which is funny because he eats bird seeds mostly...especially, he loves the sunflower seeds :-)
I suppose Atka was being very patient with me as I was photographing him. I just couldn't get enough photos of this wonderful dog. I was told a long time ago by a great friend, that if you're good at something, stick with it. I seem to be better at photographing dogs than anything else and I love to get up close and personal with them. I seem to have a knack for that.
Hope you all don't get bored seeing all these dog photos..especially the ones of Atka !!
I went to Bellevue last night. I don't know why. That's probably the 3rd time I've been to Bellevue since moving here 1.5 years ago. The other two times I've been to Bellevue I had to visit the Apple store.

If there was a bayou equivalent to the lawn ornament, this would certainly be it. Great Blue Heron motionlessly waiting for an unwary fish to pass within reach of that long neck and dagger bill on Horsepen Bayou at sunrise.
Piglet was very pleasant to photograph today. She' available for adoption at The Cat Connection in Brighton, Massachusetts. She's a few years old, and is a very good girl.
