I am not a railroad photographer, but I do take any opportunity to capture a train when I come across one. I can't tell you anything at all about engines types or model numbers - honestly, they all look the same to me even though I know they're not.
But I can tell you that the mid-morning sun showing on this line of cars stacked up waiting for their turn at the grain elevator made me stop and get out of the car.
If it weren't for the cornfield, still a bit short for this time of year, I doubt I would have bothered. The green against the red of the train, and the blue of the sky just made it all work for me.
And look at those wispy clouds doing their job taking up a bit of space so kindly. Thanks, clouds!

My Benny Bear is under the weather.
I can't figure out what is wrong. But, he IS known to scarf down most anything in sight.
Hopefully he will be his old self again or it's off to the vets tomorrow.
This is a shot of him from the end of January wrapped up in his own blanket on his own bed. He was so excited when I brought home the blanket, an after-holiday-sale fleece throw with a wolf on it. He is not allowed on furniture. He's a good boy. I hate to see him sick. He even goes to the back door and rings the bell to go out and 'er "toss his cookies". Well, actually, he didn't make it last night, but luckily the Mr. is kind enough to do yuk duty or as he calls it, "puke patrol".

This young lady sat alone outside the DOM Cathedral in Cologne, Germany on a warm summer night with fashion shoes I thought might have weighed as much as she. Her sidelong look captured my eye.

Este fue el 6to intento para sacar al pescador lo menos movido posible... finalmente allí se quedó los 3 minutos de exposición apenas moviendo los brazos..
I had to take at least 6 pics in order to get the fisherman the less blurred I could.. finally he stood there the 3 minutes exposure barely moving his arms.. that can be called Patiente ;-)

The Female Rose-breasted Grosbeak waited patiently for her mate to show up, which he eventually did and they both flew off towards the cedars.
