Pathway from the gardens at the Mai-Kai Polynesian Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

A small MOC I made of a pathway along and a bridge over a canal. There is part of a boat in the canal and a tree on the path.

With this MOC I wanted to try the cobblestone pathway technique which is a mixture of rounded light bluish grey tiles. The tree was another thing that I wanted to try and is made by wrapping a bunch of branch pieces around the broken sprue of a 3-leaves piece. The branches are attached to a bar piece. There are also some smaller plant pieces loosely placed in the branches. The bridge also posed an unexpected with the thin margins for support.

I work at a Junior High school and on the last day of school before the Holiday vacation we had a gingerbread house contest.

The whole cafeteria smelled so sweet it gave you a tummy ache just being in there.

Pathway at Bent's Old Fort National Historic Site outside of La Junta, Colorado.

Originally built in 1833 by Charles and William Bent and Ceran St. Vrain. It became one of the significant centers of fur trade on the Santa Fe Trail. Due to its location on an established road, the fort paved the way for the occupation of the west by the U.S. Army and was an instrument of Manifest Destiny and the invasion of Mexico in 1846. By 1849 the trade that made the fort prosper was deteriorating. Due to cholera William Bent supposedly tried to burn down the fort in 1849. In the early 1850s Bent constructed Bent's New Fort 40 miles downriver at Big Timbers, near present day Lamar, Colorado. The present fort was reconstructed in 1976 using archeological excavations and original sketches, paintings and diaries. It is on both the National Register of Historic Places and National Historic Landmark Lists.

A lone pathway cuts through the shallow waters, leading to out to an observatory at the Olango Island Wildlife Sanctuary. 2273 protected acres (920-hectare) of islands, shallow waters and mangroves make this a haven for migratory birds from Siberia, Northern China, and Japan. There are 97 species of birds in Olango, 48 of which are migratory species, while the rest are resident birds of the island.

Olango island is located in the Philippines, near Cebu.

Panorama of north side of Ocean Pathway, from the Great Auditorium to the Ocean Pavilion, Ocean Grove, NJ.

During the rainy season of winter and early spring, Wolf Creek Falls puts on a massive display of the strength and power of water. Spring brings lush vegetation and vibrant colors for photographers. Spring and early fall days, especially with a light overcast, are considered the best weather conditions for taking memorable photos. The reduced water flows in the summer months reveal the delicate and complex channels and pathways that water has carved into the bedrock cliffs underneath Wolf Creek Falls. Across from the parking area for this trail, you will find a small picnic area and vault toilet. Trail length: 1.2 miles. The trail is not accessible to people who use wheelchairs due to the 13% grade on the first footbridge.

Imagery was captured in the summer of 2015.
