I really am hopeless when it comes to butterflies and moths. I have not idea which is which and certainly do not know the names of species.

Anyway, this poor thing was almost a gonna. I was walking along a path in the Gower, near Swansea - when something bright caught my eye and there was this wonderful creature lying in the sunshine on next stone I was about to put my foot on. Isn't it just gorgeous.

Job 23:11 “My feet stay where His footsteps lead; I kept on His pathway and haven't turned aside.”

Kilminorth Wood is a nature reserve that runs along the West Looe River valley, close to the town of Looe in S.E. Cornwall. Classified as ancient woodland, it has been described as 'the Lungs of Looe'.

The wood is mostly oak trees, but there are also sycamore, rowan, holly and other varieties. The woods are a haven for wildlife including deer, foxes and badgers as well as a wide range of birds and insects.

Thank you very much for your comments and faves, regretfully, I am finding it increasingly difficult to reply to your comments, because of my very limited time on the internet, due to constant power interruptions in South Africa. I do read and appreciate every one of them! Thanks again!!

Artistic framing of a distinct natural pathway through crystal-clear turquoise water connecting several reefs.

The surface of the water shows gentle ripples and reflections indicating sunlight illuminating the scene.

The overall impression is one of a pristine and inviting tropical seascape.

Either physical or conceptual, a pathway is a route that can be followed to reach a destination or achieve a specific result.

Lower ISO settings, like 64, allows for more detail to be captured in both the bright and dark parts of a scene, leading to a wider range of tones in the final image. Best used in bright outdoor settings.
