This is a pathway leading to the top of a mountain in North Carolina. I uploaded this years ago before I photoshopped it. www.flickr.com/photos/tagonist/284067813/
Another photo from Old Car City. I liked the way this pathway lead to a rusting vehicle shell and all of the interesting shadows made by the tree limbs along the path. I processed this with Visual Supply Co LR settings to give it an older film look.

A lovely build outside a shop (might have been So Many Styles...the build was so intriguing I truly forgot the store!)
Had to take resort in Photomatix to bring the details out from the Laterite pathway. Hope its not overdone.
This place is somewhere between Varkala and Edava, in Trivandrum. The govt has constructed this beautiful pathway paved with laterite stones all along the edge of the cliff. I did took a 3 km walk through this path from varkala. Will share other shots too.
Bloomin hard. The LED modelling light in my Safari II light that I prefer on the overhead due to it's low mass, creates very crisp shadows. You don't get to keep them when the shot is taken though as the flash tube is much bigger - and bigger lights cast softer shadows. However, after moving the light further away and putting snoots and grids on it we got close. Of course you can just shoot the modelling light as long as the room is dark enough, but I prefer the clean shot I'll get at ISO 64.
Mandy did a fantastic job moving the blue gel about to get it in the right place - too close and we see it in the shot, too far, and the edges go soft as it gets closer to the light source.
Awesome look from Volkova completes the look.

Take a leisurely walk on this pathway through "Heritage Grove".
Heritage Grove Redwood Preserve is a magnificent 37-acre "old-growth" Redwood forest near the small Northern California community of La Honda in the Santa Cruz Mountains. These ancient trees, some as old as 1500 years, were spared from loggers due to the determination of one woman, Grace Anne Radwell, who early in the 1970's formed a citizens group and enlisted the support of 26 environmental organizations to stop the destruction. The aroused citizenry raised funds and, along with a grant from the San Mateo Board of Supervisors, were able to acquire the land and designate it as a county park on July 25, 1974.
Taken a few days before I put it together, because I always skipped past the group of three photos that were really all different. One was terribly dark and the other two were similar in exposure so I just tried them as a HDR and wow, here comes a surprise. :D

"Education is the pathway to progress and the gateway out of poverty," said Tererai Trent to schoolchildren on her visit home in October 2011. “My heart is filled with joy when I imagine you sitting in the classrooms of this school, starting your own journey to become the finest women and men you aspire to be. Make yourselves proud; show the world that “it is achievable.” Tinogona. Photo Credit: Tsvangirayi Mukwazhi
