Pathway Home - Earth seems so insignificant when you gaze upon the the stars in the night sky and try to grasp the scope of what lies beyond. This was taken in the southern Utah desert, with some of the darkest skies I have seen.

The Pathways Van has many cameras and sensors that gathers data as the van drives at normal highway speeds. These internal cameras take images of the centerline and right shoulder of the roadway. The data is then downloaded and compiled to be used in various ways by the Planning and Asset Management Division and elsewhere in the department.
Enough of these photos of empty spaces under dingy skies. In fact there's a need for a moratorium now on all visual morbidity in this photostream.
