A bit of what I do for a living. Pathfinder House provides office accomodation for Huntingdon District Council in Huntingdon. It was completed in early 2010 after two and a half years on site to allow for two phases of construction. The nearest building is the two storey council chamber and is constructed with a concrete frame - to suit the curved footprint - and built on top of the previous demolished council building. The four storey building in the background was completed in the first phase is steel framed. The council had to move into this building to allow demolition of the remaining council building. The ground was poor and piled foundations were required. Also the site is close to the castle and a Archaeological dig had to be accomodated which uncovered some remains.
