The Pumpkin Patch is located on Sauvie's Island just 15 minutes northwest of Portland, OR. From Portland, take Highway 30 west towards Scappoose to the Sauvie Island bridge. After crossing the bridge, circle to the left and loop back under the bridge, following Gillihan Road to the farm. Head straight 2 miles until you see our signs.
Market and U-pick: 9 AM - 6 PM, June through October.
Pumpkin Cottage Giftshop: 10am - 6pm.
Patio Cafe: Friday, Saturday, Sunday. 10am - 6pm.

Patch fence
A fisherman mends his oyster-raising fence after the season, while the other side of the visitors are forever fascinated by the oysters that have escaped from the "sunken" leach across this side of the beach.

A neighbor brought a pot of patches, which are like tamales only potatoes instead of masa is used.

two styles of nine-patches in blue plus a yellow nine-patch constructed of four-patch half units (plus a square)
My "Patches" creation has Gold cotton chenilles and textured décor print fabrics accented with an ivory crochet style trim around each patch. I then further embellished it by adding golden teardrop beads along the top edge.

A patch of daisies near the Piedras Blancas Lighthouse in San Simeon, California.
Not enough wind to lift the camera high enough for lighthouse work? No problem. I just pointed the camera straight down and let it drift around for a while. With the abundance of wildflowers following an extremely wet winter I figured I'd get something interesting.
I used a KITE to fly the camera.
