We had plans to photograph our niece in the pumpkin patch in Bracken, but the weather and a bad attitude foiled our plans. Still got a few cool shots before the rain started.
P.S. Are these things ugly, or what?

The Pumpkin Patch is located on Sauvie's Island just 15 minutes northwest of Portland, OR. From Portland, take Highway 30 west towards Scappoose to the Sauvie Island bridge. After crossing the bridge, circle to the left and loop back under the bridge, following Gillihan Road to the farm. Head straight 2 miles until you see our signs.
Market and U-pick: 9 AM - 6 PM, June through October.
Pumpkin Cottage Giftshop: 10am - 6pm.
Patio Cafe: Friday, Saturday, Sunday. 10am - 6pm.
The Maize: September-October.

The previous owner had cut a square hole in the firewall and they had also drilled a few extra holes that we won't be using so those were patched.
I found a pair of jeans at Goodwill. I don't mind holes, but this hole was a little too large, so I patched it. I'm a crappy seamstress, but I CAN make teeny tiny stitches when I want to.
Patches was found yesterday morning (7-16-07) in a ditch. She had to have surgery for a deep gash on her back leg (not the one showing in the photo.) The vet estimates her age at four weeks.
This is about eight hours after the surgery. She's doing very well, and purrs like crazy!
I made this owl patch to cover a large rip in my jeans. I didn't want an ugly (although practical) denim fix because I wanted to still be able to wear them to work. I got the stencil to make the applique owl from blog.craftzine.com/archive/2006/09/craft_podcast_pattern_... and used Wonder Under to iron all the pieces on. I added buttons to finish the eyes. A reasonable starting point is to prescribe one 21 mg patch per pack of cigarettes smoked a day for a patient who smokes heavily. The dosage can be increased if a patient develops withdrawal effects on a 21 mg pad. Recommend that the patient raise the dosage after three to seven days, in 7 mg amounts,

She went on a little trip and when she came back she was covered in fleas and weighed only 5 lbs (Cause the fleas were suckin her dry!) BUT she no longer has any fleas, her fur has grown back where it fell out, and she has gained at least 2 pounds! The doc put her on a fattening up diet a week ago and she looks great and is already running around the house like a mad woman!
