These fantastic roots can be found at the beaches of the Arrow Lakes in B.C. The Columbia river was dammed in 1968 and the land was logged and flooded, With the fluctuating water levels throughout the year the roots remnants of the past submerge or resurface

I went back for the 4th time in the past 3 weeks a few hours north to watch shorebird migration.

Even though I go there every year, I still enjoy spending those hours trying to photograph them without scaring them away.

Quelle joie, année après année de revoir ces oiseaux. Je refais sensiblement les mêmes photos année après année, mais quel bonheur de pouvoir les observer avant que le froid les fasse tous partir vers le sud.
