Planting volunteers both new and seasoned were in full force this Saturday! Nearly 100 volunteers joined Friends of Trees--in partnership with the Johnson Creek Watershed Council and Portland Parks & Recreation (with support from East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District and Metro)--to plant hundreds of native trees and shrubs in this special space along the Johnson Creek Watershed. Thank you to all of our volunteers and partners who help made this event such a success!

My walking/hiking partner, Skipper, and I had a great time on the trail. We started back in March here in the Marquette area. We love the trail and spend a great amount of time on it. We love meeting the other folks on the trail, the animals and seeing how many other people are out and about. Thank you for putting this challenge out there for us to complete. We will keep hiking and enjoying the trail!

Amplifying the voices of survivors, "Breaking the Silence" highlights their strength and resilience, and the urgent need to raise awareness around domestic violence.
